unless Art comes back to read the news i dont see C2CAM 2.0 lasting at 5 hours

Did any of us expect it to last as long as it has? Heather's been the host of the show longer than Art was!

it can't..she can not carry a conversation interestingly enough for that long let alone the entire network..her news reading is worse then a 5 year old...she has nothing in terms of interests it seems outside of the paranormal..and she laughs way to much about nothing

That Lego Star Wars crash was good.

I looked up Percival Lowell that RCH talked about-turns out he was into the occult:
Occult Japan; or, The way of the gods; an esoteric study of Japanese personality and possession
by Lowell, Percival, 1855-1916

QuoteAt another seance by the same sect, four
priests and a woman took part. There were
no finger-twistings, and the service gener-
ally was short and simple.
At the close of the preliminary service
the chief officiator beckoned to her to take
her seat ; this she did, passing through the
row of priests with the customary respectful
symbolic scooping of the hand, and sat down
in the midst with her back to the altar. She
closed her eyes ; the priest made the sign of
a Sanskrit character on each of her palms,
and then, taking the two gohei wands, put
one into each of her hands. This duality of
divine descent was the most interesting
feature of the affair. Twitching ensued al-
most instantly, and was kept up a long time
while the officiator (sJiugenjd) prayed on. At
the close of it the priest asked the god's
name, and then interviewed him. Then,
after permission had been asked by the
priest, the god condescended to interviews
with the rest of us. Replies would have been
made in any case, the priest said, but it
would have been rude to the god not to have
first obtained his consent. The subject was
quite insensible to pins stuck into her neck,
but objected at first to having her pulse felt,
pulling her arm away as if annoyed, till she
had been assured that it was all right by the
priest. Her pulse proved a trifle faster than
in her normal state (no as against ioo), but
decidedly weaker.

After speaking, the subject lapsed into a
comatose condition, but could be roused by
being addressed. When the priest had fin-
ished with her he took the wands from her
hands, not without difficulty, they were so
cataleptically clenched, and somewhat irrev-
erently rolled her over on her side, like a
doll, into a corner, where he left her to wake,
while he and the others finished the service.
By the time they were done she came to of
herself.

Wolfman has uploaded a new podcast. He actually has a fucking guest this time! They talk about mosquitoes and dragonflies.  If he's going to start regularly uploading podcasts then I'm going to have to make him his own thread!

Also he said he believes that he's on the regular caller list for OSM and that that he enjoyed being on the show. He said that it's nice to be interviewed "properly for a change".

hoagland is annoying the sh*t out of me, and once you start to notice this stuff it grates and grates.   his butting in, interrupting guests with "wait! wait! wait! wait wait wait wait wait !!", and pulling them up and derailing them on a tiny point.  The way he harangues callers to turn off their devices 1 second after they connect to him - like as if they shouldnt have the show on when they are holding.  it was a foible of art bell.  its an affectation of hoagland.   his lack of education really shows.  horrible man.  dont give him your money.

I wonder how it feels to have spent 30+ years lying and talking utter BS

People really listen to these shows and expect good insightful radio? Am I the only person that listens for the comedy and absurdity? Hoagland, to me, is like modern Dada. And I couldn't listen to these shows without the thread.

Hoagie is a cartoon character. He is blessed with amazing charisma and is a natural entertainer. I don't know if it's sad, or amazing, that he doesn't realize his natural talent and instead wastes it on rocks on moons and planets. But maybe that is the charm? He lives in his own world and it's fascinating to listen too with others.

This is really wonderful work. May I use it for the cover of my own personal digital version? Is there any chance you could do some more? With some of our other visionaries?

So good, K_Dubb!

Thanks!  It belongs to Zeebs but he strikes me as a generous soul.  Here's a better-quality version:

You could tinker with that stuff all day.

You are right -- I think I might have even still been awake last night when zeebo won his justly deserved prize ... and then I must have blanked out from the brilliance. If I get itchy for real covers, I will PM your fine self.

edioted to add: It's really worth seeing the higher rez version -- the expressions on our hero and heroine are really appropriate.
