Need more data. Is the future like Planet of the Apes future, RoboCop future, MadMax future or Looper future?

Good question - you'll have to ask Showroom Dummy.  I assumed more of an Eloi future.  But if we're going for "the most likely future," I'm guessing 1984.  Not much of a leap.

Frankly I'd rather find a nice Class M planet and start from scratch, than leap ahead to any of the probable nightmare futures here.

This thread bites. Don't you all have a queen or something to keep up numbers? Well whomever your queen is we are taking her crown. We'll melt it into something useful. All threadsters you are free to post wherever and whenever you want now. Now go forth and post!

Yes, Socialists aren't supposed to have a queen anyways. Firing up the smelter as we speak.

I don't want to waste a pick on my differential calculus book if I don't need it.

New one tomorrow and probably some open lines, aka me screwing around on a stream, too.
Are you talking X-Files? Correct answer = no

Only Super Bowl talk. 4 hours of it.

I'm calling in to talk about Olympic curling. Add hours.

That's the upside to leaping to a new planet altogether:  you can decide whether you want a future with differential calculus or not.

I didn't say you had to move. I am trying to embrace the concept of sharing the wealth.

Oh I invite everyone to post here. But I am not really in the mood to post tonight which is why the thread blows. It's all based on my moods, which are quite extreme!

Where is the vodka and sleeping pills?

Nah that was easy - the Kama Sutra: a civilization has to be built on the proper foundation.

Oh I dunno - a good book on bioweapons could pull your chestnuts out of the fire in that scenario ;

"How to Look and Feel Young" would be a best-seller in that case =)

So what have I missed?

Not much, PG, we're just talking amongst ourselves because the show is blah.

Tell Chronaut to turn off his animated avatar.
I like the Darth Sandra conspiracy theory better

Where is this guy going from fishing on a boulder with bamboo stick then learning a glacier dropped it there fast foreword to a rock concert in (of coarse) the "summer 69" seeing more boulders that then something clicks in his head that some river valley flooded ....where are we going, I'm so lost....and now hoagie is talking about a hyper-dimensional flood...I can't be the only one wondering what going on...they both get and are feeding off one another so I'll go with it
