True story: LW was married to my grandmother's first cousin, Fern. I met LW at a family funeral, when I was eight years old. I'd seen him on TV and had been told I was related to him. Meeting him, IRL was fucking scary as hell! He had all these people around him and was obviously "special". To this day, I think the concept of "celebrity" is complete bullshit.

EDIT: I also shook Evil Knievel's hand, when I was ten (at his house, for dinner, with his brother and my dad) and Ronald Reagan's, when I was nineteen (as he was, quite literally, shoved down the state capitol receiving line, looking scared as shit, by his Secret Service handlers)... my take on celebrities has never changed... Meh!

EDIT-EDIT: I did get to talk to Lemmy Kilmister for about 40 seconds outside of Colston Hall, Halloween 2005. THAT, conversely, was fuckin' cool... truly, fuckin' cool.

Excellent point. He is an asshole. He can't seem to help himself, him and his broke ass accutron watch. How can anyone make a career from a broken watch? I honestly feel sorry for him, and his physics.... whatever the hell that is. I listened to the show where he was going to explain it, didn't happen.
