Not only is NASA responsible for the disappearance of RCH, but also the GabCast. They paid MV off in astronaut diapers so we couldn't address the situation.

Here's something to get you ready for Star Talk.

Neil deGrasse Tyson explains Interstellar, sort of.

Oh jeez, first he gushes about Prometheus which I just thought was goofy, but now he's gonna go on about Interstellar which I found excruciating to watch.  And I was just about to give him another chance after the whole Cosmos thing.  :P  Neil, dude, sooner or later we gotta get on the same page again.

Neil is no Sagan...Carl came across as a nice guy you could have a conversation with...Tyson is a blustering egomaniac...watch him on Bill Maher...

I choose to believe the rumors that Sagan was a regular marijuana user.

Has anyone checked the Global Conciousness Project to see how the eggs are behaving with all this disturbance in the force?

I don't know if it's been confirmed.  I know he was suspected of anonymously writing a letter to one of the marijuana magazines.

I was almost sure RCH wouldn't be on tonight. I feel let down. But now in a quandary to listen or not. I'm curious how it will go.
If we could get a consensus here I might be up for whatever.  Remember when Art accused us of group think? I wish.  Does sound like it's down to OSOM at least for the beginning, Star Talk or a G2G. I couldn't get U7 last night.
Ok, see you later at Art's place

I like Neil deGrasse Tyson. Yeah, disagree with him on Pluto but I do agree with him on things regarding vaccinations (they're safe and no links to autism), GMOs (the science is there -- they are safe) and climate change (it's real and we need to address it). Yes, he's very vocal about those things -- but we need that with all of the woo-woo naysayers flooding the media -- and how we must really up America's standing in science and engineering.

I would advocate for FREE bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Engineering, Math, or any demanded science,  for ALL US citizens that can maintain proper GPA's...then we could compete against cheaper technicians from abroad!

One of the best movies, ever.  And I'm not kidding.  Seriously. Hilarious. Satirical. Even some truth, at least as believed by Hollywood types and their antics, with regard to Satanic influences. Fun on so many levels.

I agree but would expand it, a bit to other studies but based on even a higher criteria. We do need other majors, but not so many and not the bizarre ones (of, if we do, self-paid.)

Is it really? Rollye is one tough broad. In the best sense of the word. Paola ... not so much.

I think we should have a system where anyone pursuing those fields get large grants so they aren't struggling to get by under poor conditions while trying to study and they aren't saddled with student loans before they can afford to pay them back.  After graduating they can pay back into the system maybe 5% of their salary for the next 20 years, no matter how much or how little they make.

The problem with both your and my suggestions is that all students in all fields will ultimately demand the same package whether they are employable or not, and it will break the system.

Man, it is one of my "whenever on" to watch films. It works on many levels. Like rewatching Simpsons but with actors.

Here are some of his essays, anonymously. The site is simple and tells more about Sagan.
