A tip to all who have trouble with the feed dying regularly.

I used to have trouble with Tune-In dropping the feed. Now I use VLC and the feed never drops. I also use task manager to initiate the feed at midnight. Then I have TotalRecorder automatically record Art for 3 hours and then Richard for two. It drops these into two files ready to listen to anytime.

Anyhow, for VLC download the free player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
And create a shortcut with the following:

Target:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" http://live.darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/darkmatter.mp3.m3u

Start In:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC"

This is  for the 64bit version of VLC.
For the 32bit version change "Program Files" to "Program Files (x86)"

Nice Windows Tut Arjuna.    Thanks.

BRAAAAAAAPS To All

Welcome to Club 19.5

The high priest of this session of the Cult of Braapinality hereby declares this data dump of the Almighty Hoagmeister,

The master of Braap-daster & Technical difficulties,
The holder of the 19.5 secrets of the immaculate hair,
& The Guru of the sacred hyper-dimensional anomylous noises and Skype Sounds,

officially under way.

In the begining was the Hoag,
And the Hoag was at one with the word,
And the word was 'Hyper-Dimensional Torsion Physics'
And the holy Sceptre was developed, not in the form of staff,
but in the form of the holiest of holies...
     All Praise The Accutron !

I say to you now:
Let the word be sent forth to all archologies by the High Priests and Priestesses of the Braap
REJOICE NOW, AND HEAR THE WORD

       It's In The Data !!!

What do you know, there's actually a commercial device designed to measure Accutron watch tuning fork oscillations.

This is Art's territory. RCH should not steal Art's anecdotes of NDE experiments. :P

Nice Windows Tut Arjuna.    Thanks.
Thou art welcome. I used to go nuts with Tune-in  It didn't matter what browser I used, it always dropped at some point. Using VLC the stream is rock solid.

It would be hilarious if that was the reason he couldn't get on air.

Pretty nifty, you don't have to build it yourself.

Thanks for the link.

How fast do we think Richard types? 19.5 WPM?

As wired as Dick usually is, I'd say it's probably 19.5 words per second.

No he's admitted he is super slow. He blamed it on typewriters.

Huh, but you don't really need all the baggage about consciousness and this and that. Just say the universe is a computer simulation, we're all AI's existing within it, and that every religion, the paranormal, etc. was all programmed in and actually exists to the individual AI's that experience them. No need for fragmentary god consciousness. Then he could take advantage of Bostrum's postulate that it's almost impossible that the universe isn't a simulation.
