"Gateway?" I thought SyFy was turning it into a series.

Someone should, nowadays it would be pretty easy to do special effects-wise, and it's such a great story.

Was the code in the Matrix just altered?  Did the cat walk by again?  Or did you post that on the MITD thread?

Or, am I losing it?

Hoagland called Isaac Asimov from the museum phone when he was 19, just because he could?

it was his adoptive father you know....

That's debatable. Herbert definitely used his works to promote ecological issues.
And Dianetics a.k.a. Scientology

Does anyone know if RCH has read any SF published after 1980? (And I'm being very generous in picking that date.)

Richard still has an old Tandy 100 somewhere in his garage!

That looks familiar...

This is hilarious. What did they serve for dinner on the cruise?

I don't know, just the way he asked Amy how she became a fan was really condescending. It gave off the vibe of "How could a girl like Sci-Fi." and then their little disagreement.
Sigh....so hard being a girl in a Sci-fi world

Eddie, good to see you here on the other side of midnite.  Well done man, putting in a full Gabcast show and still goin strong.  I expect this of Jaz, being in some alternate Aussie timeline, but you get extra credit.

Good to be here. I need the extra credit too. thanks
I'd love to stick around for the full live show & hang with all of you lunatics , but I  need to sleep. Nodding off already.

I'd bet 19.5 dollars that asimov didn't tell Hoagland that he was going to claim he invented him, or whatever it was he said. Easy to put words in the mouth of someone whos dead.

OK, your turn next, you have till Friday

Why does Richard even have guests tonight? He's been talking for 95% of the show.

SciFiAuthor

Arthur Clarke misjudged Hoagland early on, but wasn't a fan later.
