Well, that's politics and religion. Of course there is no basic reasoning to it, it's more about emotion. That's human politics in any country. I would be very worried about Saudi Arabia getting nukes, there is an undercurrent there as far as religion that scares me.

Like I said to SciFiAuthor....they don't need nukes.  They can use ours.    I will bet my life that Iran DOESN'T get a nuke UNLESS we or someone else gives them a delivery mechanism.  It's not easy.  I would think Pakistan...even Israel...yes Israel...if it benefited their politics.   Just my 2 cents.

i do see conventional wars happening in the next few decades, im still not convinced that there's going to be an all out nuke war.
