I like Richard's style of keeping callers on longer. It leads to some good natural conversation. There's already been some classic/hilarious calls during OSM Open Lines because RCH sticks with callers so long.

yeah it does have a nice..flow to it

It's just a different show/style. He's always going to take longer and take more questions than the typical radio host would because he's not the typical radio host. Would it be better if he cut callers off quicker?? Maybe? Maybe not. I tend to think the best things happen when you just go with the flow.

I think Richard just likes to have conversations with people and goes with it. I'm not bitching. In truth, I think Art should probably hold some callers longer than he does.

It's too bad you can't resurrect people. I'd love to get Plato, Aristotle and on Epicurus on with Hoagland. And then bring in Ray Kurzweil to talk about nanotechnology and make them all look bad.

Why did royal families in the 19th century break out the aluminum flatware to impress guests over gold? Now we make coke cans out of it.

Aluminum, believe it or not, was more rare than gold at that time and very expensive to refine. Plus maybe they didn't want the guests kiping the gold flatware.  ;)

Fucking right, it doesn't occur in a metallic form in nature. It was worth WAY more and was WAY more prestigious than gold at one time. Then someone invented an easy way to refine it and now it's something we make pepsi cans out of.

How is 6 minutes, with Richard, time for a couple more calls?

Anyone else notice he just used the major argument against his Mars & Moon photos against the callers "UFO" explanation o.O

Well of course NASA is fixated on this show and releasing new images in coordination with it. *bong hit*

Oh yes, gold can be made to look like silver! *sniff* picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
