This is what attracts me to Art, RCH and BellGab...you learn about a wide array of interesting topics like this! I never knew of Lovecraft, but I'm very interested in the topic now.  Also, going to read a book..which to start with first? Any suggestions?

The Colour Out of Space is one of his best, in my opinion. Everybody has their own sense of what is scary or creepy, but that story is brilliantly written and has some truly disturbing details.

The Music of Erich Zahn, From Beyond, and Cool Air are nice, compact stories with a Twilight Zone-esque snap to them. Strange High House in the Mist is pretty trippy, and Herbert West--Reanimator is a big bag of schlocky fun.

Much of his other stuff reads kind of like a history book. If you like historical fiction, you should dig those. The dry, clinical writing style makes the bizarre stuff going on seem more real and terrifying. But, I usually need a dictionary and/or map and/or encyclopedia to get through them.

The movie is pretty brilliant.

I'm just catching up this weekend on this weeks OSOM shows. This was an amazing show and Hoagie was outstanding, open minded, contributory .....what a great interactive and informative conversation between Garentano and RCH. IMHO this is a great listen for those interested in mind control, MKULTRA, secret alphabet agency projects etc.

Great show!! Kudos to RCH, Garentano, Rossy and all involved. Well worth $5 alone, but we get an entire month for that!!

Now I have to watch the doc!!!

No, because I'd be obliged to reveal my identity, credentials, books published, tv documentaries produced, science degree...bla bla. Both Hoagland and Bara have threatened me with lawsuits, that's why I'm anonymous.

Hoagland posted on FB that he was filing a complaint about me for cyber-stalking. That was a while back, wonder how that's going? Mike Bara said on a radio show that he'd already hired a PI to track me down, and he was getting ready to file a restraining order. I had a little fun with that on the blog.

I got sidetracked and never did any more research into whether Hoagland is rendering his Accutron measurements invalid by comparing his Accutron tuning fork frequency against... another tuning fork.  However, here is a video showing that quartz crystal time pieces use the same principle as Hoagland's Accutron watch.  At the very least his insistence on using an old broken down Accutron is completely unfounded. 

At worst his experiment and reference are both affected by the same phenomenon, the supposed torsion field, and therefore invalid (unless he takes orientation into account, which he does not).

He makes much of the fact that the frequency spike starts exactly at 07:03:53, time of 3rd Contact. However, that is not the correct time. Third contact at Miami was actually 07:07:33. See the Nasa timing page:

He shows us no baselines and no controls. Frequency excursions continued after 4th contact and were even more marked. Some are clearly off-scale. As a scientist, Richard Hoagland is a failure.
