Quite the opposite as Mars is now on opposite side of the sun.
It is probably just that yearly hoax you have heard about...
Edit: Can see the realtime orbits of the planets here: http://www.solarsystemscope.com/

Well my $5 is now spent, and I'm going to settle in and listen to my first show. I will report back later.

Man!! Hoaxy comes off horribly obnoxious with the way he handles calls... it's grating.  I hear Art say basically the same stuff but he doesn't come off like some snarky IT geek.

I tried to listen... but I can't hang with the hoagland

The Lovecraft show should be great!  Is Les Klinger, "The New  Annotated H.P. Lovecraft", the guest?  That oversized volume is so heavy with high quality photos and graphics and annotations that it truly makes the perfect coffee table book; just add legs.

H.P. was so influential; he was himself so interestingly weird...

I was a fan years ago and collected all of the early paperback editions.  One day I was in a coffee house reading one-- At the Mountains of Madness-- and a pale slim young man dressed all in black came over and said he noticed what I was reading, said he belonged to a group that occasionally met to discuss Lovecraft and ritually enact scenes from the books, and would I like to join them some evening?  I made a nervous, hasty exit and got rid of all of my Lovecraft books.  Only all these years later did I revive my interest by purchasing the above compendium.

Whoever is on Richard's show to tackle H.P. Lovecraft,  the topic is perfect for The Other Side of Midnight.   Thank you, Rossy!

Funnily enough I really enjoy Hoagies Open Lines. Not a fan of them normally, even with Art, but that insane guy who rings up shouting at RCH nearly every third call alone makes it worth listening to.

Top five reasons for hating Hoagland's website:

1. It sucks.
2. The W3C markup validation service reports 87 errors
3. He still has "Von Braun's Secret" in there despite having admitted three years ago that the math was irretrievably fucked.

4. He still has the "Table of Coincidence" in there despite the fact that at least 19 of his examples fail to conform to his published rules.

5. He still has "Pyramid power" in there despite the fact that the rolling shutter phenomenon has now been meticulously explained.

So, if you to not hear Hoagland live, you must pay to hear a replay?

No, that's Gary Leggiere. I don't get all hysterical and post in capslock -- I just point out errors.

Awesome story, and no he's not the guest but I'm going to look him up right now, I hadn't heard of him to be honest. And what's more other side of midnight than Lovecraft?

This is what attracts me to Art, RCH and BellGab...you learn about a wide array of interesting topics like this! I never knew of Lovecraft, but I'm very interested in the topic now.  Also, going to read a book..which to start with first? Any suggestions?

Interesting.  This claims it was on I-40 in Tennessee.

Where ever it was, I would have busy turning around and heading AWAY from it.
