Richard had enough trouble last night without having to deal with that old bat Maryanne.
It was fun to hear Hoagland's first taste of unscreened open lines...  ;D

It's only a matter of time now...

I believe this is the guy:

http://www.examiner.com/article/interview-w-the-mad-martian-hoagland-fired-from-nasa-for-spying-for-the-soviets

I heard an interview of him on Mac Maloney's Military X files and it was hilarious.  He just called him the Mad Martian and from the link above I'm guessing that is indeed the guy.  I'm sorry I missed the show now.

I think you're right.  I found a broadcast posted on youtube that had Gary Leggiere Mad Martian as a guest.  Leggiere did not have it together, and his voice sounded similar to Hoagland's „stalker" as best I could compare the two sources' sound qualities.

I decided to subscribe to RCH's Other Side of Midnight.  If it remains edited I'll probably cancel.  We shall see.

So, what's his beef?

Not sure.  I didn't have time to decipher his rambling about Hoagland using a false name, Leggiere having received an anonymous video, some Mars pictures, etc.  Leggiere wasn't available when scheduled, so skip ahead to 0:48:00.

Jim Marrs tonight.

Where do you see that information?
On the website it says Sterling Allan

Interesting that Hoagie uses the actual date, pacific standard time, of when the show comes on. It is sort of confusing, although correct.
I think of tonight's show as Wednesday's, July 29th, even though it comes on Thursday morning, July 30th  :P Easier that way for me.

It was on Dark Matter Radio's site.  When I joined today and started downloading shows there were  links, at the bottom, to the left and right of the page.  When I clicked the link on the left it took me to the previous guest.  The one on the right from today was Jim Marrs.

I'm trying to screenshot but my Windows 10 upgrade is giving me issues.

I hope it's Jim marrs!!! He's another one of my favorites.

Does anyone know how to record the show? I'll happily pony up $5 for Hoagie but I don't want any of the edits.

I would think any audio streaming recorder would work. That would limit the use of that computer until the stream finished.

Hmm, it appears this would work too: http://www.dar.fm/submit_user_search.php?user_search=dark%20matter

Censorship on The Other Side of Midnight. No Thanks I'll keep my five bucks, Dick can pay his own way to Coral Castle this time.

I went there myself a few years ago. Pretty Cool but go during daylight hours, their neighbors are a Payday Loan Store and a VD Clinic if you catch my drift.

I was up until five fucking o'clock listening to this. Do not regret.

I just noticed on another thread that we are being called davebots, and it's being said that our enjoyment of Richard's show is ugly.  Ugly Davebots?  Bateman, Popple, me, coaster, zeebo, Morgus, SaucyRossy, and all of the fun group who shared the thread this morning?  C'mon, gimme a break!   >:(

That was a terrific two hours of radio listening.  If I don't enjoy a show, I don't listen to it, and I certainly don't subscribe to it as I (and several others) did with Richard's show this morning.

Screamer Radio. http://www.screamer-radio.com/download/
Free Program. Multiple instances, if needed. Can record and you can still use PC to listen to anything else/view videos.
Been using it for 9 years. Not saying it is the best, just does what I need.

There's a new one.

And yes, it was can't-miss radio. I was glued to it right to the end.

Last night's show was epic and so much fun. I subscribed to the show his first night, mainly just to show support, not that I would be a faithful listener of the archives.

I was already thinking about sending Art a message via the wormhole tonight telling him how much I was enjoying Richard's show, now I will make sure that I do.

That is a new one.   We may be a lot of things, but ugly?  Pffft...all of us are sweet and incredibly attractive.  Everyone knows that.   ;)

This may be sacrilegious, but I actually enjoyed Hoagie's show slightly more than Art's last night.

The awkward moment when Hoagie couldn't hang up on the psycho stalker caller ("I know you're there!") and the second call ("I'll haunt you until you kill me!") are together easily worth the $5. Laughed my effin' ass off.

as Kenny Bania said in regards to last night

"Thats Gold Jerry, Gold"

It was fun, and a very welcome break from all the negativity on Art's thread last night.  I think Richard's show is shaping up to be something special, if he can let it be.  As was posted a few times this morning, he's coming off as endearing, even charming.  That was, as bateman said, can't-miss radio.  Good idea about letting Art know, I'll do the same.

Completely agree. And ugly? Find me a person here who doesn't want him to succeed.

I listened in on the first night as I was wide awake after Art's show ended. Rather than sign off DM, I listened and hung out in here. There was an infectious good vibe feel in this thread with the posters while thoroughly enjoying RCH.  It was refreshing.

This thread generated EIGHTEEN PAGES last night. People were glued to every word and unidentifiable sound effect.

coaster

I loved Hoagland's last show and had a lot of fun in this thread. I hope he is going to keep taking calls. No davebot here. I support hoagland's show. Its entertaining.

Ordinarily, I would resent being used as an unwitting/unwilling participant in an alpha test, but given that nearly everyone these days is falling all over themselves to upgrade to Wendows Tin, I don't mind suffering through Richard's technological learning curve.

It may have been Skippy on the mic, and definitely not JIF or Adams'.

SciFiAuthor

Against my better judgment, I read through that rambling article and did a little searching around to see what the hell Hoagland's stalker is on about. I was nearly blinded by the absolute batshit craziness that I saw. Here is what I found:

1. His name is Gary and at one time he was a collaborator with Hoagland that identified some kind of code hidden in Cydonia. Hoagland asked him to keep researching this secret code and he did. This is presumably the work he did for Hoagland that was mentioned.

2. At some point, Gary saw secret images that Hoagland has of other faces on Mars. Gary had no idea why Hoagland wouldn't show these images to the public, so he apparently concluded that Hoagland was a Soviet Spy and was stealing the images from NASA and selling them to the Russians.

3. Someone from the future, using the content of the Cydonia code, has appointed Gary to thwart Hoagland's nefarious plot, whatever that might be.

So yeah, gnaw on that. Hoagland has a conspiracy theory attached to him and someone on this earth actually believes that he's a Russian spy. You can't make this shit up.

Yep Hoagie was a kick as usual last nite.  It was a fun and different show.  Doesn't mean I won't point out stuff I think is goofy, but yeah I hope the show continues.

LouSheehan

I'm thinking Hoagie should morph to a long show on a weekend day/afternoon so as to deliver focused intellectual punches.
