New CEO that wanted to move away from scifi. Pretty much everything true sci fi vanished shortly after they changed the name to syfy.
Even farscape was cancelled even though the last season had the highest ratings ever.

Hmm I think it was just the ratings?  But it was a situation where I think they changed the night it was on, and did like zero promotion, etc.  Too bad as it was such a cool setup for a show, with some great ideas.  They needed to give it more of a chance to build a following.  Could have gone the distance.
