Radio Wire Question

I am looking for this cable in the picture. I don't know what it is called-one end is a 3.5mm jack and the second half is two bare wires for the am antenna input of a stereo receiver.

Can I just take a normal male/male cable and cut off one end with some wire cutters?

I don't know why not.  Antennas for most consumer electronics are non-critical.  Now microwave is different, but that's not what this seems to be.
