Begins its daily run on Monday, September 9th, 2013.

I have my money on "Midnight In The Desert With Art Bell", announced by Ross Patterson, on Red Eye/Cumulus, going head to head with Coast. I suspect seven nights a week, until the show is stable and Art can find additional hosts that HE approves--hopefully Knapp will be one of them (maybe even Ian once in a moon), and maybe Whitley--so that he can EVENTUALLY cut back to 2-4 nights a week.

At that point, the only use Coast will have is a rare night that Knapp (or just possibly Simone) hosts. And that's only until he steals Knapp away.

I expect a return to form like we haven't seen since pre-9/11. The tentative and defeated quality of his last few years as a Coast guest host will be gone. Topics will be all the classics, with 10-15 years of new perspective and discoveries.

Me thinks this is the winning combination:

Cumulus:  Redeye Radio is CANCELLED!  Art Bell:  Midnight in the Desert will be the newest show in the universe.  It will also be carried on Sirrius in hours left vacate since Premiere decided to exit.  That would give him more, possibly, audience saturation than the current Coast.  This is just speculation.

Did you know Art Bell owns a hotel on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation? Also keep monitoring one association, that is the CBS-Radio News Affiliates Association for Art Bell announcements. Monitor your local CBS-Radio News Affiliate. Did you know about Art Bell's friendship with CBS Evening News Anchor Scott Pelly? I didn't until around a week ago. Also did you know Art Bell has a business partnership (latent) since the 1990's with David Letterman? They apparent were working on a sitcom on the world of Late Night Radio Talk Show Hosts? I did not know this until around a week ago.
