Monitoring the Illuminati Spectacle: OSCARS

or was it the jeeews spectacle? :o In any event the first weird thing having just turned on was an Arquette saying that she wanted to run out into the hills of Laurel Canyon and chew bark. What will Clyde Lewis or Alex make of that statement?

I notice the illuminati completely snubbed Snowpiercer for awards this year.
There are no coincidences.

:)

It became clear to me that the Oscars were 100% politics when both Sharknado and Zombeavers were snubbed a couple years back, while nonsense like Argo wins best picture.

Seriously... NOTHING for Sharknado?

Academy Awards?

More like... like... Shitcademy Awards, amiright?

Up All Night

The design of the Oscars stage floor was Oscar. But next year or so, they will take the gloves off and go full tilt with a similar stage design, but full of illuminati symbols...

Since Jullian Moore wants to end income inequality, I wonder if she will send me half of what sh's made to even us up?

So most of the media is saying "American Sniper" didn't win big awards because the movie was too popular and made too much money and Hollywood automatically doesn't like what people in "fly over country" (as they call it) like. Other pundits says it is because it doesn't go with Hollywood values that is anti-military and anti-American. I think it was because of that ridiculous fake baby they used in the movie. The rest of the movie was good but then the fake baby? Why? The baby wasn't in a stunt or dangerous seen. Does Bradley Cooper suffer the same affliction as George Norry and is afraid that the baby might be "mean" so that they needed to use a fake one?

Yorkshire pud

The OSCARS are meaningless; It's a (very) few people sitting in a room giving their opinion and deciding on the winner.. It doesn't mean the film is any good or bad if it doesn't win. Meaningless.

The goody bags were £85000...or about $120000...Obscene?

American Sniper was a good movie and moving story. Was it best film caliber? No. It needed more. More supporting character development. More at the Navy Seals training. Cooper's performance was outstanding and Oscar worthy. The movie received nominations, so political bias can be thrown out on this one.

Why the fake baby? It looked so obviously fake and seems bizarre to use a fake baby when the scenes were not anything remotely dangerous.

I remember when they were just the Oscars.  It was pretty much identical but America was a different place...

I haven't watched them in some time. Caught a few minutes and it was amazing to watch these multi-millionaires gripe about "equal pay" for women and their political causes etc. And the whole self-indulgence and "look at me" self-importance of the whole thing is really amazing. Granted they do have power to shape the culture, to our detriment, but that power is more in the financiers of Hollywood not the alcoholic, drug-addled empty-shells of persons called actors and actresses.

I heard the reason was because both babies they'd planned on using were sick, so they used a fake one. I found it very unnoticeable. It could be easily fixed via CGI. Maybe they'll do that for the directors cut.

The baby in Twilight Breaking Dawn, was frightening. They used a digital morph of a baby, Kristen Stewerts face, and Robert Pattinsons face. Its face literally changes in front of your eyes.

Do you think it was?

I haven't seen it, but it's a war movie - it's not gonna be pretty. Where's John Wayne when you need him?

Maybe it was intentional. You're thinking about it. Now you've got me thinking about it.

Kelt

Maybe American Sniper didn't win because... there were better movies.

The highlight of last nights Oscars had to be Patricia Arquette having the guts to expose a subject that has yet to be revealed. Equal pay for women. How long are we going to let this continue. Seeing Meryl and Oprah pump their fists bursting with pride put a lump in my throat. It's a shame they and so many other women continue to suffer in the US. Maybe now that the Patricia Arquette has exposed this issue, women will bust out of the shackles of an unfair society.

American Sniper was pretty good, certainly better than the odd Birdman but since that is about an actor it was a shoe-in. I won't say "great" movie but American Sniper was pretty good. Aside from the fake baby. Which was so obvious for anyone who has even seen a baby but especially to anyone who has even held one. I thought it was not nearly as jingoistic as the Hollywood-types claimed. I wouldn't also consider it a pro-war film either as it shows the lingering effects of war on people and the moral choices (a little hackneyed using the child example but a real situation. Even now I just heard some 7year old used as suicide-bomber.) I was guessing Boyhood might have gotten more simply for the concept and long-term dedication but I guess not. I could care less and didn't watch the actual Oscars past that first bizarre interview when Patricia Arquette talked about wanting to run down to Laurel Canyon and chew bark off trees. I heard "Laurel Canyon" and thought ILLUMINATI!

only if your father was in the military and you are a musician being manipulated by a CIA-op, being run by NAZIs, involving music, psychedelics, and mind-control! Or so Mae Brussel; had told me.  ;)

I don't understand this thread.  I don't think I know you people anymore.

It has a guy with a chainsaw fighting a shark and a giant pair of celebrity titties.

Those are the important parts.

Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory, right? How about one that exposes Frank Zappa (among others) as being part of a huge undercover operation run by The Military-Industrial Complexâ,,¢, the goal of which was to infiltrate, and subsequently neutralize the “hippie movement”?
