Barney Miller and WKRP in Cincinnati.
I had a soft spot for Adam 12 and Dragnet.  I always thought they were comedies.
(And I was kinda' Jonesing for that hunky Kent McCord.)
Northern Exposure, Laugh In, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
And since I grew up in Pittsburgh, I loved Hill Street Blues.

Oh, WKRP in Cincinatti, definitely.  I forgot that one.

If you like Night Gallery or Twilight Zone, you might like Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected.

You have to hand it to David Lynch, period.

I have not been able to tolerate Lynch due to Eraserhead.

Lobo!

The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo

I don't know if you can get it, but I always like an excuse to post that.

I'm not interested at all with today's television shows, so lately I've been catching up on some old tv. I'm binge drinking/watching some M.A.S.H. right now and last night dived into some of the Twilight Zone episodes I haven't seen in a while. But my playlist is pretty sparse. So I'm wondering, what are some of your favorite shows from the past?
I'm with you.  I cancelled Direct last year and went completely OTA.  Today's TV by and large sucks, just like the current C2C.

My go-to OTA stations are MeTV, Antenna, Retro, This, GETTV, and Movies.

Here's my favorite shows.

1)  Green Acres
2)  Bewitched
3)  Hogan's Heroes
4)  Twilight Zone
5)  Hawaii Five-0 (Jack Lord could make me go gay. ;) )
6)  Black Sheep Squadron
7)  Columbo
8 )  Mission Impossible
9)  MST3K
10)  Perry Mason
11)  Outer Limits
12)  WKRP in Cincinnati (Turkeys away! :)) )
13)  F Troop
14)  The Bob Newhart Show
15)  Wanted: Dead or Alive

and few others.

With the money I've saved, I got a Magnavox DVR and am recording the classics.  Did I mention today's TV sucks?

Don't forget Hitchcock's show.
;) Also, Night Gallery had some decent episodes.

Since P*B confessed to Three's Company,  I'll admit to a few Patty Duke Shows.

Oh, Peep Show.

Learn what 'The Bad Thing' is, and why drugs are bad.

The Veil was never released in it's entirety - it's from 1958 and volume one is available on Netflix.

Tales of Tomorrow was an early sci-fi anthology.

I remember the Patty Duke Show! I still like The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

I agree. Except for some live sports and the "bundle" that supposedly saves me money I would drop cable. The few decent shows out there can be found on torrents quickly anyway (or even streamed by the network after often.) The only problem with the list you mentioned is that they aren't making new shows! If only the geniuses in Hollywood could make new shows with the same cast, writers, etc as the old serieses, by that CGI or something. Still a re-run I've seen of Perry etc is better than the "new" shows released today.
ps: MeTV also has Svengoolie and while a little trying at times shows some classic horror shows on Sat night. Usually the bad ones but everyso often some of the real good ones. I'm guessing it is more for the stoner audience but still a chance to see some good old movies and remembrance of the old "horror host" shows of the old days.

Ha!  Antenna shows Ms. Patty way early in the morn.  If I'm up then and bored with the local radio show, I'll flip her on for a flashback moment.

I'll sometimes catch U.N.C.L.E., after my weekly Columbo fix.  Good times, good times. :)

That's one thing I miss out on is sports, but I'm mainly interested in college football, so I still catch it on CBS and ABC, or mooch off a friend.

I forgot to mention Svengoolie.  Pretty corny, but you're right.  Sven does air some decent sci-fi/ horror oldies.  One of my favorites he regularly airs is Curse of the Undead.  I grew up with a more serious local Chiller Theater show so I'm not much on Sven's schlock but he seems to be a decent, good natured guy so I tolerate him. ;)

Eddie Coyle

Supertrain, Manimal, Carter Country, Bridget Loves Bernie, Lady Blue, Khan, That's My Mama.

        Just the classics.

Lt.Uhura

baQa'!  No one's mentioned Star Trek? Next Generation??

All In The Family
-More Carroll O'Conner, In the Heat of the Night

The Avengers

The Untouchables
  -More Robert Stack, Unsolved Mysteries

The Fugitive  "A Quinn Martin Production!"

Lt.Uhura

After not watching television for many many years, the kids have recently set me up with The Walking Dead which I'm now binge-watching.

One of my favorites! I've read the 2 compendiums of the comic books- I'm liking the show better now that the new show runner has picked up the pace.

My teen son suggested it, was also impressed by Robert Kirkman's stories.  There are archetypes galore, we've had some good discussions about human behavior in dystopian society. I'm still on season 3, dialogue and pace does drag at times.  Hmm, Kirkman might be a good guest for Art.

That's what I enjoy about it, too- the human study rather than just the walkers. They're pulling it off quite well. You might like Hell on Wheels- it's about building the railroad in the old west. Lot's of good story lines about the different groups of people involved- how they got there and how they coped/survived.

Columbo.  such a good show.
One of the all time greats.  I purchased the complete DVD set last year, so I'll always have it at the ready.  Falk is always part of my Sunday night line up.  Watching him interact with actors such as McGoohan is a pleasure not to be denied.

136 or 142

Love Columbo. I have most of the series on DVD.

I'd also recommend The Muppet Show.

1967 The Invaders (also "A Quinn Martin Production!")

A cabal of aliens infiltrating earth to make it their own.  Chris Carter basically re-made *coughstole* it and called it the X files. He even gave the star, Roy Thinnes a part as "Jeremiah Smith"

All episodes are on youtube

paste into Jdownloader2 and enjoy some good scifi with a lot of good actors
