Your next PMP?

     Me, I am starting to ponder which device will succeed my trusty iPod. I'll give the thing credit for doing what it did, creating a world of small, portable MP3 players (even though MP3 compression sucks boatloads of Chinamen), but now it's approaching time to move on.
     First, my next device will of course need to be flash memory based, not micro mini hard drive. [Insert joke about micro mini hard things. Note the word insert.]
     Second, it will have to be a multimedia player with a high enough resolution screen to display HD. They're getting there, but they ain't there yet.
     Thoyd, it'll has to has all manner of connectivity, obliviously.
     Fourth, it will have to have AT LEAST 128GB storage capacity.
     Fifth, I REFUSE to buy ANYTHING made by Apple again as I REFUSE to once again voluntarily lock myself into a world controlled by His Royal Rectal Thermometer Steve Jobs.
     So I keep my ear to the ground. I keep reading the tech web sites. There are some neat developments coming along. Maybe a year from now they'll be there.
     In the meantime, I shall return to meditating upon the Gospel according to Karl. Pilkington, that is.
