Infected Web ads use Flash flaws to spread ransomware

A three-month-old malvertising campaign is exploiting two recently discovered Adobe Flash Player flaws to infect people's computers with ransomware.

Looks like I picked a great time to stop using Flash...

MV/Liberace!

this is why people should use chrome.  flash is integrated into chrome and is updated on the fly along with chrome its self, making you far less likely to miss an important flash security update.

edit:  isn't flash integrated into firefox now, too?

flash should just go away.
adobe isnt supporting it on anything but windows. its closed source so the flash library integrated with chrome isnt much more than a hack. firefox still uses the adobe flash i think , although it seems to be shipped with firefox now.

Sweet!  Does that work with my Commodore 128?  I like that the 128 had that masheen language mode thingamabob...

I think's it a little switch over by the joystick ports... I messed around with it for a bit when I first got it, but found I didna have the memory...

Thats funny! The C128 was actually my 1st computer. It really had no software as everything had to be run in c64 mode. It had the rarely used 80 column resolution and that CP/M mode which I have no idea what that was for.

A few years later I got the Amiga. That computer really was badass. Years ahead of everything else.

Bit Defender releases stand alone anti-ransomware that runs in the background and is low on system resources.
This has been needed for a while. :)
