I really enjoyed UFOchat last night. Unfortunately, I collapsed from lack of sleep after about two hours.

I enjoyed all four hours of Knapp Sunday night.  It was everything I hope for in a Coast show. If all the shows could be even nearly that good, I wouldn't even miss Art Bell anymore.

Me, too. Knapp was in top form, asking the right questions, letting the guests talk, knowing when to listen and when to direct the conversation to another area that deserved exploration. He's always a pro, which is from all that experience at the tv station, but  Knapp is first and foremost an investigative reporter which is why I think he's head and shoulders above the rest, particularly Noory. He can take a topic like UFOs which some people would scoff at as being lunatic fringe, and bring a level of professionalism to the subject that makes you want to hear more.

And his bumper music is the best.

I never really thought about bigfoot one way or another, but damn if that didn't get me excited for those test results. Funny how some people said the unidentified DNA was from angels, and Knapp sort of dismissed it. I'll bet anything Quayle and Noory will hop on the angel DNA bandwagon.

Great show and,  the selection of music for a hallucinogenic night was superb.

Unfortunately, that sounds more like an accurate prediction than a realistic joke. Quayle sees Nephilim when he goes to NBA games. You sometimes wonder if he had a bad experience with a tall girl when he was in college or high school.

In the first half, George Knapp will be joined by film director, Oliver Stone and Professor of History , Peter Kuznick for a discussion on how far the United States has drifted from its democratic traditions and the powerful forces that have struggled to get it back on track.

People who point it out when Oliver Stone makes a movie based on historical events or people - but changes key facts around to suit his Left-Wing ideology - are told to 'relax, it's just a movie'. Move along, these aren't actually propaganda movies from the Hollywood Left, and and no attempt to revise history is going on here.

But now here he is discussing supposedly real history. Anyone think this is going to be an honest unbiased interview?

This is exactly why I don't like Knapp much. He gets all the accolades for being a 'real journalist' - just there to get the facts, ma'am - but from everything political I've heard him do he's just another Lib reporter with the same agenda as the rest of them. Oliver Stone? Really? George should stick with the UFO stories on Coast, or at least admit he has a bias.

The 2nd half of Knapp's show tonight has "Mysterious Disappearances on Cruise Ships." Looking forward to this, and wondering if Bigfoot also strikes on cruise ships.

Edit: Listening now and this is more like a true crime show. Pretty chilling especially when you think many 18 year olds go on cruises at graduation.

Bigfoot loves to go on cruises.  It's obvious to me that he's been eating people on the cruises because human meat isn't on the menu...

After hearing the guests story about how he lost his daughter and faced an obvious cover up I can't help but feel for him.... and on a serious note this most recent bumper music I think was in bad taste.

I agree, not sure the bumper music is in good taste. They just had "Hold On" and then "Over the Sea". They just played "Goodbye Stranger" by Supertramp which has the lyric "Goodbye Mary, goodbye Jane" and Mary was the name of the guests daughter who disappeared on the cruise ship.

This could be interesting.  I seriously doubt that most Americans know how many people end up dead on ships or on the islands they stop on.  I also think most people do not realize that on many cruises it is maritime law and that often it is not the US responsible for investigations.  I remember looking into cruise ships awhile back because I was bored on evening and ran across a video of a woman being dropped into the Arctic by mistake during a botched rescue and her family was only entitled to something like $5000 despite the fact that it was incompetence that killed her.

The best site I found at the time is one that I actually strongly encourage people to look at maintained by a maritime law firm that lists disappearances, deaths, rapes, sexual assaults on minors, and all sorts of other things and gives some details including the fact that around 200 people have went overboard in the last decade (link to the disappearance page.) The site is filled with information that most people would not realize.  From the second article on that page is an article concerning one of two disappearances from the wholesome Disney corporations Bahama flagged ship the Disney wonder...

Official responsibility for investigating disappearances from Bahamian flagged ship falls to the Bahamas. A single policeman from the Bahamas investigated Rebecca's disappearance. The investigation took only a few hours. The Bahamas refuses to provide the Coriams with the results of its investigation and is concealing the official report from them.  Disney refuses to release information to the family saying that they must obtain the information from the Bahamas which, Disney know, won't cooperate at all.

From their general page is a law suit... the cruise line allegedly provided Mr. Curgenven with sub-standard care and then dumped him in a port alone on a stretcher of the wharf. (somebody who knew him called an ambulance...)

And on and on it goes for pages.  If anybody thinks that the cruise line cares about passangers- they do not and if anybody thinks they are safe on a cruise it is only because the cruise lines are able to keep most of what happens on their ships out of the media.  (Yes, I realize that thousands cruise each year without incident and I may one day jump on a ship.  But I do so with my eyes wide open to the real risks and state of affairs...)

I don`t take cruises. Last night`s show touched on only a couple of reasons why I`m never going to set foot on a cruise ship. There are MANY others, not covered, that would curl your nostril hair.
