I also had a hard time understanding Sean Stone. He was a bit of a mumbler but it also seems like the sound engineer didn't do a damn thing to set his level. It pisses me off what a shit job they do of making their "guests" sound good. They just don't give a fuck

And re: Brad Dloenz ...he says that Navy Seals accompanied Admiral Byrd to the South Pole. Byrd went to the South Pole in '37.  Kennedy created the Seals in the early 60's.

Idiot

Something about Stone's presentation made me naturally want to tune him out.  I found that when I made an effort to listen to what he was saying he became fairly interesting, but he doesn't naturally draw you in to what he's saying.

I don't think they even had UDT teams back then. Though they did have Navy divers like when they tried to rescue to people in the Squalus.

On one of my shelves I've got a book on sub sinkings and disasters.

Of course, the guest could have been thinking of real Navy seals which the Navy has trained but ...

RIP

The Navy Seals should make some kind of memorial for him.

And yet disGeorge will make a point about a guest's bad phone or phone line when I can hear the guest just fine.

Yes, sort of interesting but not a dynamic presenter.

That means Noory is annoyed and about to drop the guest without warning.  I've contacted a few good guests who disappeared after a break...Noory just hangs up on them or leaves them hanging on hold. No explanations.  Usually they've said something contrary to Noory's usual drek.

Enjoy the program!  That excursion sounds spooky and awesome!  Have you watched any episode of STRANDED on SyFy?
I do not have television (for a number of years now) so no SyFy for me.  I have really wanted to go through an asylum since I was in my late teens or early twenties.  There was a show on (I think a documentary?) where they had went through one such place. There was a graveyard out back and still some rooms with stretchers.  They told the history of the place- is there any asylum where they did not practice some pretty interesting techniques?  Electroshock, drugging and lobotomies were all standard and have to leave something behind no matter if you believe in ghosts, imprinting or some mark of evil.  (ever hear of the labotomobile?  If not, you need to google it.)  I found the place a few years back on the net and it has long since ceased to exist... Actually, it seems that most of these buildings are being taken down which is a shame.

The program was good, and I liked when he wondered aloud how much of the feelings we, ourselves bring into any given situation.  I can say that while exploring the slaughter house it was a little creepy.  After finding pentagrams and other such crap drawn on the floor of what I assume was the slaughter area the whole thing got a little more edgy for me.  Everything was covered in dust, nothing seemed to be recent and no evidence that anybody was there- just the relics were enough to make a somewhat creepy place that much more so.  If it was evil or haunted it would seem that it was just as evil or haunted prior to my running across the markings (and writing on the walls).  It really had to be my own feelings and thoughts that changed the atmosphere.

WOTR

After way too much searching for the asylum and / or the documentary  I am stuck thinking it may have been Greystone.  Years ago I went searching for information on the net (the documentary / film must have been done in the early 90s.)  I recall coming across a site with picture of it and some info.  Though I thought it was demolished, it could just be that large parts had been and others were still standing.

The main reason I think it must be greystone is because I recall some blurb about it being large enough for its own post office or zip code.  Greystone apparently had its own zip code at one time...

I enjoyed Sunday night.......strange, spooky......just what I like!  Knapp is going to host this upcoming Sunday AGAIN.  Love it.

everyone's favorite podiatrist... Dr Leir

03-31-13
Guests:     Robert Bigelow, Dr. Roger Leir
Joining George Knapp, President of Bigelow Airspace, Bob Bigelow, will discuss the future of privatizing space and how one day you could be taking a trip to the moon.

Ufologist Dr. Roger Leir will join the program during the second half to discuss one of the most amazing UFO sightings ever recorded, the Kumburgaz Turkey UFO Incident, where inhabitants of the spacecraft can be seen - Leir witnessed the sighting with his own eyes.

A shame none of these people have one shred of evidence for these "amazing" sightings other than first hand accounts from "reputable and high ranking people". I never understood why people started thinking that a first hand account could be considered evidence at all. People lie. I'm sure Roger Leir has absolutely no problem with lying, considering the attention and money he makes from this UFO bullshit.

Yep.  There are phone cam pics of almost everything that happens everywhere...but no UFOs.  How many different shots of the Russian meteor that lasted only a few seconds?  Dozens..hundreds maybe, but no one anywhere can manages a clear pic of a UFO.  There's a message there.

RedMichael

I e-mailed Knapp 2 questions along those lines to ask a guest. He did bring it up in a way and the guest kind of shrugged it off as "You can't just shut yourself off to the possibility". I'd have to listen again.

I think there were a few-one was like in Taiwan or Shanghai? One from Texas, and I remember at least one home vid of the phoenix lights.

I was at a concert in September of last year. The performer was about 30 yards from me. I snapped several photos with my iPhone 4S. You can barely make out the fact there were people on the stage. The optics in even high end phones just aren't that good. If you can't see detail at 30 yards, how much do you think you will see at 1000 ft? 5000ft? Not very much.

And if you're curious ... the performer was Peter Gabriel

Nebraska888

I will listen if it is Knapp.......
I may not always "buy" into the guests......but, boy.....Knapp makes it interesting and food for thought.
With Noory.........the interview, even with the most credible and interesting of guests, can be an exercise in exasperation.

There have been many hundreds, if not thousands of clear UFO videos as well as photos taken over the years. Granted, most are taken at a time when its dark outside, but none-the-less, there are many photos and videos out there.  Unfortunately, the media is reluctant to cover too many UFO stories.

I think Peter is a gray:

Bigelow of Bigelow Aerospace is on tonight. Think GK will ask him about his rumored control of MUFON through contributions?

Immy

Roger Leir replied to a question by the Knappster, saying "That's why I like talking to you George, you're a thinker." LMAO!

jinwicked

All right, has anyone looked at these supposed UFO photos or the video?

I am irrationally afraid of these things, but I really want to look. How realistic is it?

Yeah, I loved that. One must wonder if that was a jab at sNoory. I tend to think it was.

Solid show by GK, again.  I really enjoy hearing from Dr Lier.

I stayed up to hear the entire show. Pretty good Imo. I'm actualy thinking about getting the guys book about the west. I live close to the central WA "cluster" spot. I have family that lives dead center in the spot in the SE of WA. I might start carrying something bigger than a .22 when I go camping now. :-\

Finally got around to listening to the last Knapp/Paulides show.  Absolutely excellent.  Reminded me of the old days with Art.  The kind of show that just gives you "the creeps" in the middle of the night.

Interesting to look at the map of "clusterings."  Nothing in Texas or Florida?  I would have expected something in the Piney Woods of East Texas or maybe something in the forested/camping areas of Florida, such as in the Panhandle.  Other than far east Oklahoma, nothing much in the middle of the country, kind of in the same area as Tornado Alley.

I hope Knapp has Paulides back on again.  Sorry for not addressing last night's show but I just had to remark about the Paulides show.

I no longer have an insider account. So ... two questions:1) is Knapp's recent show worth listening to? And 2) where can I listen fer free?

Thanks

I thought it was okay. It wasn't Noory, so there's that.

You can listen to it on YouTube by putting in YT's search box: coast to coast am march 31 2013 exploring the solar system and Turkey UFO

If you want to download it, you can go to Funklbaldy's site.

First half of 4th hour with Dr.Roger Leir was captivating.. the description of the components in the implants was amazing.  Knapp let Leir roll for about 6 minutes without interruption, then said 'Wow'.
