Knapp just received a Human Society award for the show he did on animal welfare issues.  And I thought he couldn't get any cooler.

Oops should read "Humane Society" above.  It's called the Genesis Award.

The Knappster deserves that award for bringing the wild horses situation to the public. And this is why I hope investigative journalism never dies out.

Noory gave a quick shoutout about this last night too...

Yep.  I remember seeing some wild mustangs as I was driving up to Virginia City.  Beautiful creatures and I love the idea of them roaming free through the country.  Be careful driving in Nevada at night though.  I almost hit one.

Congratulations, Mr. Knapp.

I agree though I've always had a sneaking suspicion of T.Boone Pickens and his now ex-wife that the real agenda of the horse-stuff and the wind-farms was really about water rights and aquifers (at least for him and think she is sincere.) Congratulations George Knapp!

Interesting. It makes a lot of sense that there would be an agenda would be about water rights since that is sure to mushroom in the next decade or so. If it helped the mustangs, then some good came out of it. It's funny how nothing is ever as clear cut as it sounds.

I'm ashamed to admit that's where I heard it.   :-\  Sometimes I still tune in a for a few mins. out of old habit.  Once in a blue moon something good comes out of it.   :)

Congratulations, George Knapp!

What a guy!

I love his old-school journalist knack for stuff. Remember when news was about finding out what's actually going on in the world?

Glad Mr. Knapp is getting some recognition!

Somewhere there must be an old photo, of a young Knapp in a fedora hat, siting behind a typewriter, phone cradled on the shoulder, pencil tucked over an ear.

Yes, indeed.
Some of the affiliates keep odd hours on Sunday. When in PST does the show begin? One in this area started at 10 and they were playing the best of Snoory, LOL.

I did not know this until just now. Right when you think the guy can`t get any better, he goes and pulls a stunt like that! Way to go, George!

Definitely sounds like a promising show tonight, Nebraska. I am really looking forward to Hastings` segment, as I have a close friend that was stationed at Malmstrom in 1967 to a missile silo. He arrived a month after the alleged UFO shutdown and heard all about it. According to him, what happened was impossible and nobody had any explanations.

Hastings has sounded very credible to me.  His past interviews, that I have heard, were compelling to say the least.

Just tuned in.  All hail Knapp.

Ok, which one of you Knappyheads are sending GK jammie pics?  ;D

Any other host ever come within lightyears of Knapp's bumper music virtuosity?

He's a human jukebox.

Hastings sure is right about the junk on TV.  This clown on "Ancient Aliens" comes to mind.
