Cheers to all the Knappers, Knappsters. and Knappaholics.   :D

I tuned in earlier and heard him say "Def Leppard will take you into the break..." and I couldn't help but smile.  Not only is Knapp great at his profession....he's just plain cool.  8)  Oh, and by the way, I listen to C2C ANY time Knapp is on.  Seems to be less and less though.

Anyhoo....I just love this stuff...(Green Label is my fav)  :)

Nice!

I missed that but caught the nice Beatles tune.  Always fun to hear Knapp's bumpers w/ his corresponding 'liner notes'.

Hey, nice to know there is another Nebraskan on this site!  Raining here.....dark and gloomy with a strange orange glow in the night sky.  Perfect.

I was absolutely shocked to hear Knapp say that A HARD DAY'S NIGHT has not been performed live for 50 years until a week or so ago by McCartney.

I'd say that Knapp is one of the Beatles biggest fans ever.  I, too, love the Beatles.

Do you remember when the Beatles approached their 50 year anniversary, and during Knapp's show he expressed how irritated (to say the least) he was that nothing was being done to commemorate it?  No TV shows, radio tributes, etc.  I agreed with him.  I recall him mentioning it again weeks later.

There may be a Beatles/Knapp overlap amongst fans.   I too dig the Fab Four.

Definitely....I remember that program.  Knapp did his own "tribute".  Good for him!

I'm such a huge Beatlemaniac! They're so overly saturated and scrutinized in my mind that I rarely ever intentionally put them on anymore but I think I eventually bought everything by them on CD. I also had at least half their collection on vinyl too. Of course, with iTunes I never play those anymore. I also went through something similar with Led Zeppelin when I was younger. When I was learning guitar Jimmy Page reigned supreme for me. Not because he was the best guitarist necessarily I think Hendrix is superior in terms of just raw talent but Page wore many hats with excellence. He wrote, performed and produced those recordings. Anyway, I listened to them so much as a teenager that by the time I got into my 20s I didn't want to anymore...and for a long time. It wasn't because I thought they sucked though. It's just that I knew their repertoire so intimately that I didn't have to play them. They were already playing perfectly in my head. Both those bands will always be timeless to me.  8)

Hey. one for Its Over! LOVE that song!

Beatles & Zep?  Yep, they'll do.   :)

I thought that you were a California man?  I really need to keep a notebook on gabbers lives so that I don't have to rely on my faulty memory.

I would never live in California. The farthest I would go is the gulf and plan on going there. Riverboat.. California. Never never never. Who on earth would want to live in california? too much noise. people bitch about how the midwest has nothing. i dwell on it. i love it.
fuck california. thoroughly. new york too.

Well folks, another solid show. I really enjoyed hearing about the Aussie UFO case.

Until we meet here again.....cheers to all my fellow Knappyheads!

"In Dreams?"  Ha, that's where I was, by then, nodded off.  One of my favorite songs by Roy.

It was fun.  Knapp nites are too few and far between.  He's the only host besides Art that I'll listen to an entire show, even commercials, since I don't want to miss anything including bumpers.

The good scotch is safely stashed away for now.  Till next time, Knappyheads.

Me too.   I have all of their music on vinyl and cd.  I always buy whatever new product comes out even if it is just repackaging tunes I already have.  I got the Beatles 1+ with tons of promotional videos.

Shhhhhh.......we have to keep our wonderful lives a secret! Ha!  Seriously, there is nothing, just nothing to compare to where we live.....I wouldn't trade it for any other place on the planet.  I have traveled a great deal.  I lived in Oceanside, California, for a year....and on the east coast too.  I was born and raised in Nebraska, and I have found this to suit me the best.

However, I think most people feel that their home is..... THE BEST.  And, that's the way it should be.

Listened on the way to and from work today. Good show, so good I didn't notice any traffic. Now that's what I call an engrossing couple of hours. Love the Knappster's weekends.

TigerLily

Awesome last night. Just how cool were all the bumpers? He always has at least one Beatles or solo Beatle song iirc.
We are blessed with another Knapp night next Sunday  :)

It's awesome, TL! Every time I've been there (North or South) I always think, "This is my kind of place!" It's just too bad it will be under water one day.  :P
