Bill Knapp's was a purveyor of sea food and Cole slaw. Sadly Bill Knapp's empire has failed. To my knowledge.
How can that be???  Sea food and Cole slaw are the best of all plate partners.

I wonder if George Knapp reads this thread. I'm sure he does. Not sure if other forums have a thread dedicated to him that is 147+ pages.

There's really no way to know, at least currently.  But I give little credence to poltergeist, or UFO, activity being manifestations of human psyche.

This guest is full of shit. Or at least more full of shit than other C2C guests.

Couldn't agree more.  His theory is an epic FAIL.

This is BS.  McCarthyism caused the Washington DC manifestations in the early 50's and the fall of the Berlin Wall caused the Belgian UFO outbreak in the lates 80's.  Give me a break. This guy needs a crash course of Ufology 101.

The Knapster is a rocker!

Knapp should have given 3 hours to Randle and 1 hour to this guy.

George Knapp and Arthur William Bell, it really doesn't matter who they are interviewing or what the topic is, you know you are in good hands because both men have complete and total INTEGRITY.

I love Knapp's Music.  From Jerry Lee to Green Day, he really knows and loves all rock and roll like me.

zeebo

Haha love it, Knapp playing the Python universe song. ;D

Darn it, George,  I'll be listening to Art tomorrow night so I'm afraid I can't listen to Noory and I bet you'll be listening to Art as well if you aren't working.

As I've said before, Knapp's UFO/paranormal intereviews don't do much for me because he just doesn't challenge his guests......too many softball questions.  He's just the opposite when he has a true/organized crime show, almost as if his real journalistic skills kick in when he does a program on crime, especially organized crime.  His segment with Kevin Weeks was outstanding, wished he'd had Weeks on for at least another hour, if not the entire show.

I got a real chuckle out of the story about Weeks having written a novel about Bulger being on the lam, only to have Bulger get captured the day before the book was to be released.  Very chilling, however, to hear Weeks talk about his killing people as casually as most of us would describe going to the grocery.  Also fascinates me how philosophically these mob guys accept the line between their personal and "business" lives, you can beat a man to death, but it's not personal.  Must have been very comforting to those he offed.

Though I guess people in many aspects of live can "rationalize" things, it is amazing with those mobsters. I enjoyed the mental picture of Whitey playfully bouncing a 3 year old girl on his knee, and Weeks' comment "sweet girl," while discussing the "purchase" of the girl's father's liquor store. And how "oh he died the day after testifying against me in court" but it was due to some other business associates, nobody liked him in the neighborhood (because he was an arsonist and undercut competition in the liquor market.) And his "vacations" to KC, Miami, Chicago, etc where he gets "recognized" by people on the street (due to his books, cough-cough,) but "doesn't need to worry." Not that those cities have a long tradition of organized crime and odd choices as places to vacation- especially if one is mobster who has testified in court.

Knapp should do a show on the various Russian (or central European) mobs, the history, "thief in law," "Bitch Wars," etc. And up to the  more modern times in which the mafiya is integrated, to one extent or another, into the government, local police, construction, and large corporations there. (Though opinions vary on who is pulling whose chains.)

Good suggestion, and along those lines maybe the various Asian underworlds as well.  Also would be interesting to hear more about the related cybercrime angle.

Last night Weeks' claimed that "The Departed" was really based on "Infernal Affairs" (a series of HK films,) not on Whitey and Winterhill Gang, but changed that away from the Triads for American audiences.

Would be a good show on those "other" organized crime groups, especially because they have a long history and often involved in politics, wars, etc (At least one prominent Yakusa apparently is involved in Fukishima clean up and "keeping people in line" I've heard.) And on the west coast I've heard that the Tongs made a lot of money by repatriating Chinese dead for burial during the days of much Chinese immigration because traditional Chinese would want to buried in their homeland with their ancestors.

I think George does shows only on former mobsters and organized crime from back in the day.  Investigative reporting on those currently involved can be hazardous to one's health.

Had the chance to listen to Knapp's UFO show from last night, kinda surprised no one called out the first guest (Canadian PhD) on his "unique" UFO/paranormal theory.  What he espoused is no different to what many claimed was behind the original UFO craze of the late 40s/early 50s, a form of mass hysteria brought on by paranoia and stress.  Why he decided to tie in the paranormal and poltergist stuff I don't know, but had that part of the interview not been aired, his claims would have been nothing more than a rehash of an old theory brought up to date by including modern sightings like the Belgian flaps of the late 80s/early 90.

Same old, same old with Kevin Randle sadly, with Knapp doing his usually "suck up, question not" routine.

Saturday show was so good. Knapp and gangster talk is always an entertaining combo.

I believed him on that. I mean, why would you whack someone after they testified. You have to take care of them before they testify.

Unless there were some other people going to testify against you later and this guy was in protective custody and couldn't be "reached" beforehand.

No Knapp this weekend.  More evidence why we need a good *live* Dark Matter Network show Sat. & Sun. nights.

Yes, yes, yes.   8)

I am now listening to Dark Matter (I finally purchased an ipad so it makes listening easier/more flexible).
Besides, Art,  I am somewhat impressed with Hoagland's After Midnight.  He still has the uncontrollable urge to interrupt.  His interruptions ostensibly are to clarify for his listeners.  I think the interruptions are also to showcase his VAST expertise on many topics.  Ha!

George Knapp ought to bolt from C2CAM and do a weekend show on the MITD network.

After 10 minutes of last night's (10/10/15) show with Richard Syrett....it was Change the Channel time.
