This is what the Dem's mean when they talk about how extreme and 'right-wing' the TEA Party is

Actually, it is the fact that he is a crazed Christian dominionist that qualifies him as an extremist nut job.

Ted Cruz is a phony. And, by the way, that list contains almost nothing I haven't been hearing Republicans say for the last 20 years but not achieving.

What about the surveillance state, Mr. Cruz? I see that's not on your list. Pro jobs? What the fuck does that even really mean? Culture of corruption? What? No mention of term limits. This guy is a loser if he is the nominee.

I can't tell you how happy I am this guy renounced his Canadian citizenship.

Both sides love illegal immigration. Cheap labor for business, easy votes for the Ds.

Government. is. never. held accountable.

You mean like the Stock Act?

http://thehill.com/policy/finance/293919-obama-signs-stock-act-step-back

QuotePresident Obama quietly signed legislation Monday that rolled back a provision of the STOCK Act that required high-ranking federal employees to disclose their financial information online.

The White House announced Monday that the president had signed S. 716, which repealed a requirement of the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act requiring the disclosure, which had previously been delayed several times by Congress.

Pandering to Libertarians? We're not that stupid, Ted. Now that Ron Paul's not running it sure is interesting to see them embracing a key component of his campaign.

Do you have a cite for that?  I've looked and looked, but can't find anything but accusations.  These accusations generally center on Cruz's father, who is certainly a Pentacostal, but I don't find anything about the church that promotes dominionism. Unlike the Baptist Mullah who is clearly one.

Can you cite sources for that? I've looked and looked, but can't find anything but accusation.

Excuse the source, and this proves nothing, but his dad is at least a nutjob.

Cruz was "blessed and anointed" by a "dominionist pastor," for whatever that's worth.

I was thinking the same thing accept ad Democrats to the list as well. They all say the same crap.

If they wanted to be honest it would say: #1 Pass laws that will enrich ourselves and our friends in DC. Exempt congress from every law we pass. Make sure we use the words patriot, american, freedom, green, hybrid, in everything we write.

Nice to hear from Taliban Ted.  His new contract on America is about as meaningful as the one in 1994.

In regards to term limits, the snarky reply to that is that that is up to the voters when they cast ballots.  The real answer though is that term limits has largely been occurring.  For instance, 23 of the 46 Democratic senators (including the 2 independents who caucus with them) have been first elected since 2008.  I'm not as familar with the Republicans but given the large turnover that occurred in both the House and Senate in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2014 I'd assume many Republicans in Congress have also served less than 6-8 years.

Despite all this, I've seen no improvement in the conduct of Congress. So, whatever benefit you are hoping derives from term limits will likely not occur.

You mean the elections of '94 when the R's won the House?  And eventually 'shut down the government' in order to force a budget that cut the growth of the bureaucracy enough to finally get a balanced budget?

All I have to say is "Run, Rafael, Run!"

I'm hoping that Mitt Romney will eventually be the R on the ticket. I believe in second chances. How about Condi Rice as his running mate??

I was *not* happy with the McCain or Bob Dole run for Pres.

It will spread the wealth. And that alone is reason enough for 1 term and you're out of govt. forever type term limits. Our govt was not founded so it could provide life long employment and make people 100's of millions of dollars. The longer they're in, the more powerful and corrupt they get.

And Obama, Hillary, Bill, Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and the rest aren't?

I'll take someone that promotes Conservative policy over the rest of the crowd of Libs, 'Progressives', and Rino Republicans anytime.  Even if someone says he's a 'phony'.
