Hack everything till we have nothing......

I love the fact that I can make my own alcohol, energy, and produce my own food. I love watching things burn, fact is Ferguson was a thing of beauty. Now if we can get the whole world to join in then I would be so happy. Also I really do not need others to have fun. I guess spending months in the hole you come to find who you truly are and what you are able to withstand. So it is III% and nothing else!!1

You'll make it less than a week. You went on the hackable internet and boasted that you can produce and stockpile alcohol and food. Just paint a target on yourself why don't ya. Just sayin'.

I'd like to know when it became socially acceptable to make an assassination comedy. I mean, yeah, it's about an asshole, but jeez.

We do not fight any country that has nukes because we are scared. Why we even listen or pay attention to NK is beyond me. Just be glad I am not in charge because NK would be nothing more that a place we put our garbage!!1

In truth, far fewer than his predecessors.  Especially the "true patriot" presidents:

Cheney was the real president anyways.....so not like it matters........

Reagan always was on vacation.   Mentally at least. He was on actor-autopilot playing a president.  Which worked out pretty well to just act presidential.

I don't we really think we worry about NK's nukes.

We worry about a destabilized Korean Peninsula, Chinese relations, and someone else besides us nuking Japan.

Well you really think people even think that far in advance? Most people are too stupid think about tomorrow. I am truly not worried about people coming to rob me. Plus I think me and my people will be just fine we been planning this for awhile. But thank you for looking out for me!!1

I would imagine the government has a contingency plan in place to do an aerial/satellite search for plots of land actively growing food so they can confiscate it to feed the cities in the early stages of any such meltdown. Non-compliance will simply be dealt with via a drone strike.

My survival plan is to simply be a marauder. Prepping is easy for that, all you need is guns, a shitload of ammo, a thunder vehicle and a jolly roger flag.

Do not waste your life on one event when you can gorilla fight to topple a larger power. Look at what George Washington did he just keep fighting. This is what the III% is all about!!1

Anyone can be a raving lunatic acting on their fight instinct, getting drunk, and landing in jail.  Being constructive and sober is what takes toughness and strength.  Putting in the time, poverty, sleepless nights, constant headaches, and isolation to educate yourself, build society, behaving with discipline and integrity, even if you have to live on the street while working two jobs to do it -- not because you're forced to but because you will yourself to so that you can put yourself in a position to create better conditions for hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people.

I refuse to be cattle for slaughter so others can get rich. I think the way things are going the dollar will fall in the next ten years and all hell is going to break lose. But however you wish to handle this is up to you!!1

Yep.  I said before that we did nothing for decades when NK killed Americans among others; now we go ballistic over a cinematic stoner turd and some snotty emails?  The difference...cable news pumping...and pumping...and pumping.  I've wondered if it's not all a diabolic PR scheme by Sony to resuscitate what mgmt saw was a real stinker.

Those leaked emails are pure gold for media types, so they pumped away. But, you know, that's what their market wants. The media runs on three things: conflict, sex and fear. If you can tap into any one of those, your freelance article will sell to a newspaper or keep eyes glued on the TV.

Yeah, I wondered about the PR aspect as well, especially when some experts in the security industry started questioning if it was NK at all. But where I would be skeptical would be in the leaked movies. 3 or 4 of them ended up on the web, and that would seem to be too high a cost to create buzz for the assassination comedy. If it weren't for that though, you're right, an elaborate ruse like a concocted hacking would be a great marketing move for a film.

3OctaveFart

Mainstream critics failed to give the film a single decent review out of its press showings. We're not talking about "film snobs" here- we're talking about people who hang on every fart from Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus and Octomom. They said it sucked.

Now, if you really want to find something funny, try the 10-hour crash of the entire North Korean Internet system. That was the figgy pudding the embattled federal government was good enough to bring us this week.

I've had longer on Verizon Cable. I can do a 10-hour outage standing on my head.

Can we try forcing elected officials and government bureaucrats from a certain level and up to wear body cameras 24/7/52 first?

Well ya but that work about as good as it does for police. It will go something like this I am getting ready to do some bad and evil shit-OOP'S the camera/video shut off again man this sucks. We will have to investigate that. Well we investigated it ourselves and found we did nothing wrong. So carry on and we will do our best to look into this matter in due time. Thank you for your time and concern!!1

the newer speculation is, as many initially, thought was ex-employees or an "inside job" (cue Alex Jones rant voice here) but FBI is sticking to their initial story on NK. Though I haven't heard an update on how the Sony interworkings and politics/leadership are going it would seem that they have, at least domestically, turned a real bad thing into a bad thing because the movie got free marketing and generated at least some "grass roots" viewership. For what I imagined was going to be a bad movie all press helps. The email and info leaks, security breach, and the locking up of production and internal communications (and stock price) is pretty ugly. Leaking of a bad movie, not so much.

I saw that too and was wondering. I really think no matter who did it they are going to use it to control the net in my opinion!!1

That has already happened, to a great extent, and has been in the planning for a while (whatever happened to that Internet 2.0 thing a while back btw?) One can hope, that the genie "got out of the box" but, then again, I question anything created so closely and controlled by companies so close to government agencies, some of which had seed-money etcbs. Especially when there are press releases, and then news stories, about "encryption" or darkwebs that "can't be accessed" by governments. A scam story since they used the same press releases against anon-remailers and PGP years ago, then torrents, then, etc. I always thought....bs (2!)

Yorkshire pud

I saw my brother a couple of days ago and brought this topic up again (He works at Sony UK as a s/w engineer)..The reason Sony gets hacked  (and will continue to get hacked) is breathtakingly simple. They point blank refuse to take internet security seriously. They basically (and they're not alone) tender it to the lowest bidder who might be a company in Turkey that has next to no experience with global server security.  Modern movie production means that the pre and post production work has to be zipped around the planet to editor 'A' in (eg) Australia, then back to producer in (eg) UK, and then back to the USA, and so on. Sony is Japanese and (his words) their (Japanese) management of anything is diabolical. It's all cultural and all to do with not acknowledging problems until the stage when face saving, honour and metaphorical sword falling ensues. He said it is incredibly frustrating and it pisses off everyone who has to deal with it.

Not a conspiracy; just rank incompetence at board level.

I agree with you. I think that their is still groups that still can do some really damage but for the most part NSA have destroyed the net from being completely anon. But I still have faith in hackers coming up with new and invented ways to show governments that they do not have control. Again this is just my opinion!!1
