WASHINGTON (AP) â€" Attorney General Eric Holder is resigning after heading the Justice Department for six years.

Good riddance to bad rubbish as they say. I wonder, though why, now? Simply the normal "rats leaving a sinking ship," just being tired of DC being there for so long, going into a more lucrative position in the private sector, or aware of some cover-up or scandal that might be trying for him, or trying to get appointed for another position or even judicial nomination, or policy differences with Obama or the administration (if so which ones?)

The guy was a complete hack. corrupt, arrogant and the worst liar I`ve ever seen in politics. He should be facing a minimum of 3 indictments. Good riddance!

HORRAAAYYYYYYYYYY!

"Horray"?  What does that word mean?  You can reply by PM if you prefer.

Man, I hope no one notices my occasional spelling errors...  A bit picky, innit?

I think that like most AG's, Holder is divisive and less-than-effective.  It comes with the territory.  Those of us on the left hated Ashcroft and the dreadful Gonzalez.  I am not surprised Holder is held in disdain by many.

I wonder how many conservatives know that Holder was a Federal judge appointed by Reagan.

Quick Karl

I wonder what turned him against America between Reagan and now? Obviously he wasn't showing his true colors when Reagan appointed him or he came down with a mental disorder since...

I thought Ashcroft was a lunatic and Gonzalez nothing but a puppet, but Holder makes them both look like angels.

Perhaps he's going to take some time off before he joins the Billary in '16 campaign. Cabinet members stepping down with 2 years left in a lame dork presidency is par for the course.

God forbid.

Yes, and now, once again, we see with that, like the election of this guy Obama (and in many other cases,) affirmative action or cynical "identity based" voting, or appointments or hiring, end up being bad choices, at least in longer-term view of the government, business, or judiciary (cue: Justice Thomas replies here.)

He's probably on tap to replace Ruth Bader Ginsberg on the Supreme Court.

NEVER happen. Holder should be in prison, much less a confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court (although I would pay very good money to watch it unfold). He'd never get the votes needed for confirmation.

Thank Jesus that asshole is gone. Talk about a guy that both mismanaged simple common sense shit and incessantly injected his fucking racial politics into his job at the same time. Least constructive politician in decades. And, well, the media is reporting that the administration is consulting Sharpton for a replacement. Won't that be nice, consult a fraud to determine what asshat we get subjected to next.

b_dubb

From what I've seen it's Sharpton who claims to be helping Obama pick a replacement. I have yet to see it reported that Obama says he's consulting with Sharpton the Human Turd about a new AG. That really disappoints me that Obama has ever been seen with Sharpton. I have no respect for Sharpton. He is a parasite.

Hmmm....I wonder if Holder`s resignation has anything to do with this:

Prison might still be in Holder`s stars

a little lengthy but vital information....Not much  to say but  D.C. is a cesspool, not much to redeem there.
