This really brings to mind a few years ago when they were able to recover images from a brain by having the person think about a certain scene in a movie.  There are many implications for this kind of technology in not only forensics but communication and media among other things.  It's definitely a scary and exciting time to be alive, really feels like we're starting to cross the bridge.

Far out.  Also you just reminded me of something else.  If I remember correctly, some years ago they discovered that with high enough photo resolution, you could magnify and clarify reflections in people's eyes, and they were going to use it for forensics and whatnot.
