Hmmm... where does nearly all our electricity come from?

If the anti-nuclear crowd hadn't done its best to kill it off it would be coming from thorium cycle nuclear energy instead of oil. It always gives me a chuckle to point out to the climate change alarmists that had nuclear power been allowed to be more widely used and converted to the thorium cycle, it would have saved hundreds of billions of tons of carbon dioxide from going into the atmosphere and would have bought us decades more to solve the climate change problem (if there actually is a problem yet). They always seem to snap into the 1970's activist mode and rant about nuclear energy, even though the technology can now be made to be safer than oil and coal-fired power plants.

In a way, we can thank liberal activists for climate change. They were anti-nuclear, anti-hydropower, even at one point anti-geothermal and so on which has extended our reliance on fossil fuels and thusly resulted in a whole shitload of needless carbon dioxide emissions for decades. They'll eventually protest the very alternative energy solutions they present to us now. It's already begun with the wind farms. Ten years ago they were screaming for them, but now that endangered birds are getting axed by the blades they're all huffy about it. They'll probably blame it on us, I'm sure.

Hey you do a pretty good imitation of me.
I don't know if it's intentional, but still, I'm flattered.
Buy yourself a Canadian beer and send me the bill.
Don't mind if I do!
