I know you were and I appreciate it. :D ;)  I edited my post to reflect that but you already started writing your response to me.  I don't want to get into a full on discussion either.  I will just say that there are many reasons why our system of government doesn't work in homogenous societies like those in the middle east.  They have totally different culture/values and do not value freedom as highly as we do in the West.  That is just one example.  If you were sitting in front of me, I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you but the written word is time consuming.

Not if you type over 100 wpm! :)

I don't think anybody who genuinely wants to unite and not divide would ever use terms like 'elite' or 'class warfare' when the only purpose of using those terms is to shut down debate.  Just like the use of the term 'racist' can also shut down debate.

I call you as I see you and all I see you do when it comes to politics is copy the phrases (word for word!) of those used by the far right.  Not this alt-right that I've never heard of before which is, I guess, an attempt to import European far right politics into the U.S and has been embraced by the idiot Trump supporters, but the U.S far right of the Tea Baggers and the 'Freedom Caucus.'

Commie, communist or much more commonly now 'socialist' are also all used by those on the right (and not just the far right) to shut down debate.  However, while I'd can't show think of a single post that you wrote that on this website that doesn't indicate to me that you are far right, I can show you many posts here on this web site that show I'm not a communist, a socialist or even a 'far left progressive'.

I should also point out that in describing you as 'far right' that I'm not trying to shut down any debate, but just pointing out that you're using the exact same phrases as those used by the far right, which indicates to me that you are one of them yourself.  I don't have any problem with it, if you can be intellectually consistent in your ideological views (i.e not claiming to be both for a balanced budget but also for large tax cuts that create huge budget deficits) then you can have any ideology you want.

What I want from you (not that you owe me anything) is for you to defend your positions when I point out the contradictions and to not fall back on meaningless terms like 'class warfare' to try and deflect.

What you call far right is not far right at all.  I guess that is where we have a disagreement.  I categorize the far right as kooks and fascists. They include groups like the KKK and such.  I don't know why you have such venom towards traditional tea-party types.  They aren't radical at all.  I can't speak for the organizations as I've never been part of one but from what I can ascertain they simply hold to the values of our Founders and I don't think that is far right or radical at all.  There are some tea party organizations that are racist and I am not referring to those.

All teabaggers (I refuse to refer to them otherwise) regard compromise as a negative and would prefer to shut down the government than concede in negotiations.  In regards to their political views, I'd say the teabaggers are divided between extremes: either the extreme anti-government libertarian philosophy of Ron Paul or the extreme authoritarian views of a Ted Cruz.

When it comes to economics, as far as I can tell the teabaggers are sort of united around what they call 'economic freedom' (though 'economic freedom' embraces free trade and the idiot Trump supporters generally oppose free trade).  I'm not sure if the idiot Trump supporters consider themselves as tea baggers or not though.

What this 'economic freedom' really means is 'limited regulation.'  I think a lot of Americans would still support these economic policy proposals if they were called 'limited regulation' but I also think they chose to use the word 'freedom' because they know it's such a loaded word.  I can tell you from a Canadian perspective, that even many Canadian Conservatives (and conservatives) consider the policy proposals of these 'limited regulations' or 'economic freedom' as too far to the right for them, as do nearly all European conservatives.   I'd say among the advanced western democracies that only some Australian and New Zealand politicians and their supporters support these policy proposals to any great extent.

All teabaggers also seem to embrace such things as believing that global warming is some bizarre conspiracy and also believing hateful thinks like that all programs aimed at helping poor people is 'free stuff' for 'freeloaders.'

I also think this idea that they embrace 'traditional Constitutional positions' is more propagandist nonsense from them that their followers have swallowed whole.

When Bill Clinton left office, he was a popular, globally respected figure.

I remember that time differently.

QuoteFor a donation of $2,700, the children (under 16) of donors at an event last month at the Sag Harbor, N.Y., estate of the hedge fund magnate Adam Sender could ask Mrs. Clinton a question. A family photo with Mrs. Clinton cost $10,000, according to attendees.

What was that she popped at the 1:36 mark?  A lozenge?  Worst possible thing you could take during a coughing fit.  (Choking hazard)  And whats with the dude behind her... happily applauding her coughing fit? Also, he popped something at the 2:31 mark.  Guess whatever Hillary's got is contagious.

Unfortunately, that dude is her running mate and I'm sure that's all he could think to do in his internal panic in which the only thing going on in his head was probably, "START TALKING, BITCH!!!"  >:(

He's just nervous that people will discover he stepped down as DNC chair so that Hillary could be given the nomination this year.
