Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Shocked that the Winter Soldier turned out to be Ian Punnett. Pinky swear.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is better than I expected. And I had high hopes.  Go see it on the big screen or you'll miss out.

Quill-Gamora 2016

"We are Groot."

I am one disc into 'Game of Thrones' and hooked. I may not surface again until I'm through with season 1. The most amazing thing ever is that all the Direwolves look like my dog, Muffin. No wonder people keep asking if she's a wolf dog when she's walked. Anyways, I've already learned not to grow to attached to any of the characters, including the direwolves.

Ohhh, UC, you've done it now.... :o  And, yes.  Do not get attached.  To ANYONE!! (or thing)

I spent, on b-dubb's advice, all last weekend binge-watching ROME.  Ahhhhhh, something else to get hooked on.  Not as good as GoT, but it has a few of the same actors.  Funny seeing them as "someone else."  hahaha  I did enjoy it, but I lost a whole weekend.  THANKS, b_dubb.... :P

Naaaaaw, it's never a waste to watch something good.     :)

By Juno's cunt I swear that Rome is a much better show than GoT.

By Sir Jamie's massive manhood, I beg to disagree.

:-*       (I see what you did there.)

Is someone watching Outlander, or do I have the wrong Jamie?  ;)

I have 'Rome' duly noted and when I finally come up for air after GoT, it's on. Of course, I'm currently indulging in the latest Doctor Who, so it may be binge by small installments. I'm a big fan of Ciaran Hinds, and think he plays Julius Caesar, which is perfect casting. I've always pictured him as Aragorn in LoTR, rather than the prettier Viggo Mortensen.

Nope, Sir Jamie Lannister, GoT.

Ciaran Hinds is one of the actors playing in both ROME and GoT.  And I liked the prettier Viggo as Aragorn.  I think he was the perfect match for Liv Tylers's Arwen.   But Ciaran does a great Julius Caesar, can't imagine anyone else there.   :)

I can only assume you are unfamiliar with the work of Mr Keanu Reeves...

"Whoa... et tu, Dude?"

I am watching "outlander". Oddly compelling. Will see how it develops.

Just finished watching Taken 2.  It was pretty terrible.

On the plus side, the entire movie of the book 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich' is available on Youtube, and is incredibly faithful to the original material.

Just watched 'Jerry and Tom' this evening.  Quirky hitman movie.  Enjoy.

Dinocroc vs. Supergator.  I think this awful SyFy classic has surpassed my previous fave awful classic Sharktopus.  However I have not yet viewed the eagerly-anticipated and most-certainly-awful Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda, so this may change.

Just watched the documentary "Rich Hill"
http://www.richhillfilm.com

Powerfull and disturbing glimpse into the lives of 3 kids struggling to cope with life in an impoverished midwestern town.

I highly recommend it.

Eddie!! Longtime no see. I was starting to get worried. I was about to start a thread called "where is uncle Eddie?"

Has anyone seen "Boyhood"? Thoughts?
yes, I went through boyhood. It was easy going until my  teens; lots of angst there.;-)  :-)

I just caught November Man. It`s a fast moving, action-packed thrill ride. I really enjoyed it. And, as a bonus, you get a smoking hot Olga Kurylenko and Caterina Scorsone.

Additionally of interest, they ran a trailer of a movie to be released in Oct. which will star the late James Gandolfini. It looks excellent!

Watched 'Albino Alligator.'  A Kevin Spacey film.  Interesting mix of actors.  Faye Dunaway, viggo mortensen, Gary Sinese, Matt Dillon, Joe Mantegna (who gives an outstanding interview to a news reporter in the flick) and a handful of others.
Oh yeah, Crime Drama.

I'm really looking forward to this film.

Watched 'The Human Stain' with Anthony Hopkins, Gary Sinise and Nicole Kidman.  I was surprised by this little flick.

Preposterous film, even if it does have at least one antecedent in real life. A person may be "genetically black" but if they "pass" for white without even trying then they are in fact white.

Clear History starring Larry David.

If you're a fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm this is an absolute must view.

I didn't realize how much I was Jonesing for a Curb fix until I viewed this film. Going through what I'm going now (life), I need to laugh out loud as much as possible, and this made me laugh out loud to the point of stinging eyes.

(stinging eyes accomplished previously by The General when I heard his tone of voice when he defied anyone to tell him there is ANY difference in the sound of randomly chosen capacitors. Long story, regarding Fret Files No. 7 podcast.)

If you'e anti Curb, skip Clear History.

(not that you would have been tempted in the first place)

Oh come on.  Preposterous? "...even if it does have at least one antecedent in real life." It's not preposterous if its happened.  Black trying to pass for white?  It's happened.  But how about white trying to pass for black, note the urban youth of today.  The word 'wigger' comes to mind.
I might be able to understand your angst, but let's face it.  You are just genetically a fuckin' rascist tryin' to pass.   ;D

Overdosing on The Invaders, Seasons 1 and 2 (1967 - 1968)

Enjoyed the interview with Roy Thinnes on the extras.... especially his candid account of his own real life UFO sighting.

Wicked old science fiction like this is better than snorting cocaine off the backside of Raquel Welch in between filming scenes for One Million Years B.C.

Though not exactly sure why that particular image came to mind. It's especially twisted because I am picturing myself as a gluttonous stegosaurus extra always hanging out at the craft services food table, waiting for pineapple with Canadian bacon pizza while coked out of my mind due to the Raquel action.

Watch out for my spiked tail. I ain't responsible.

At any rate... ~The Invaders~ still delivers the non-human goods.

That was a great show, really gave a creepy alien vibe, and I'm sure they did a very good job of preparing us for our overlords who are on their intergalactic way. Just ask any C2C guest.  :)

The Woman in Black scared the crap out of me and I started hearing noises in the house so I turned it off. I am a wuss.
