Can't Obama just bow and stop this madness? When did he finally decide that bowing and apologizing wasn't the proper foreign policy? For once I would actually praise Obama and his limp-wristed bowing/apology foreign policy. That part of Ukraine was Russian, basically, until Krushchev gave it to Ukraine whilst drunk (so the rumor goes.) A good percentage of the Crimea is Russian and speaks Russian and, at least nominally, Russian Orthodox. Russia already had large bases there. Why pick a fight with a nuclear power just because a part of a country by vast majority (even if the vote was rigged) wants to join another country?

True, but only because Stalin forcibly relocated the Tatars from Crimea; ostensibly for working with the Germans; and shipped in hundreds of thousands Russians to "domesticate" the historically hostile-to-Russia region.

And it is claimed that Kiev Rus founded Russia and that the Rus was founded by Vikings. So I demand a coalition of Norwegians and Danes take over the whole area. They have historically, in recent years, been more peaceful and have run decent and stable economies better than the Muslims or the Russians or the Ukrainians.
