What are your resolutions for 2014?

Started by Camazotz Automat, December 31, 2013, 11:44:25 AM

I will be a more consistent degenerate gambler and a more consistent winner in 2014.

Using the well known Morrison anagram, I have designed a talisman to guarantee more good luck and more cash winnings in 2014 than what was experienced in 2013. The precise lines and crossings collectively operate as an astral engine that affects the material plane.

(I have also painted the schematic above the barn door to ward off the curse that killed off the corn and cattle this year.)

Activation Evocation:

Selah - beehive...
So mote it be...
Jimmy Morrison crack corn on LSD...

Cam out.

My New Year's resolution this year is to not make any more new year's resolutions! :D

7 hours in I have already broken my New Years resolution.

I'm gonna mix it up more, so like instead of just using pepper, I might try lemon pepper.

I'm going to try to limit my checking bellgab to twice a day.

That's the resolution I already broke. Damn you MV! You're an enabler.

It must be nice starting a new year with hope and a clean slate. Where anything is possible... derp. My only resolution is I'm going to try to be drunk enough to not remember the next few months. Happy New Year...

onan

I am going to hate less and really hate more.

georgesucks

My Resolution for 2014 is to have more fun.

b_dubb

Less beer, more gin and scotch.

I have a six pack and beer is counterproductive to this.

Wonderful Wonderful Scotch. :)

I'm going HOME.  Don't care what it takes.  I want to go home to the redwoods.

MV/Liberace!

i plan to let my scabs heal and stop biting my nails.

Zoo

Try and wake more people up. Show people that love is stronger than hate. Open a camp for unwanted teens that are having trouble in life!!1

Sambo

None. If you're serious about doing something you don't wait for a once a year date to make a plan

1920x1080 - I have tested using 720p for years and its only slightly discernible, and then only if you're looking really closely.  I'm not to sure about the 4k resolutions yet, as far as price is concerned.

Hi, Steelbot. I was just kidding, playing on the "resolution" word. Sorry. I actually only use 800 x 600 on this machine with accessibility mode (white font on black background), images turned off. Almost can't even see any colors any more. Really bad vision, almost gone. Retinitis Pigmentosa, scuse my Spanish! ;) I did have cataract surgery 3 months ago but it helped very little. I've heard one shouldn't invest in the 4K temptation, no content for it. Not for a long time.

I wasn't ribbing on ya at all, didn't even notice you'd done the same thing.  I too was playing on the words a well.  Sorry for the cataracts - hope you can smoke some herbal remedies if that suits ya.  I for one will buy a 4k resolution TV having seen the picture on them, it's phenomenal - but the hype is def. overblown.  Polaroid recently announced they would be knocking the prices of their 50 inch or so tv's down to under 1000 bux.  That sort of pricing is great, Vizio is doing it too.  I've been avoiding 3d but fell in love with the vizio sets as they don't require the active goggles.  Plus, if they and vizio are selling 4k displays while others are collecting dust cause of the price, then i'll probably get another vizio.  I've got a 32 vizio 3d and 2 samsung LED/LCD's 120mhz non 3d's.

For me it's like looking through a window vs a camera - I would not discount 4k yet, it's worth it if they're sub 1000 dollars.  The only disadvantage is that they want to remove the "smart tv functions" well i for one have multiple devices that hook up and replace or supplement my smart tv functions already that so be it.  A 100 dollar appletv or roku like device and you're set.

Lose 25 lbs
Read 25 non fiction books

Goals based on achievement rather than denying myself something are more apt for success

Even if I only read 10 books and drop 5 pounds i still enjoy some measure of success

Steelbot: Just my luck, when I was eagerly waiting around to see my first plasma TV by the time it got here I already could barely see it. Now that 4K is looming I'm afraid the same thing has happened. Rats! I love it when people talk about how the image is so clear it's like looking out a window.

Primarily, 'boundaries' with work and energy dealing with others. Especially, in business. Adhering to those boundaries.

Sounds vague but ...when clear with goals, sight set of what you wish to accomplish and the energy of others, success arises. Oddly enough, a situation reared it's ugly head the other day. Caught it and was reminded of this 'resotion'. By following tbrough, honoring and valueing myself and my work it lead to an awesome manifestation in more work, opportunities with those in synch what I intend. In fact, I'm already booked through the summer with commissions.

Out of curiosity, is anyone making good on any of those resolutions?

I'm pretty sure New Years Resolutions are only meant to be observed for a few weeks into the new year or just frivolously made without any intention of following through.
