Kathy is NOT moving back and has told me so...

IF she finds a place to live in Pittsburgh or Antioch, she's not going to be seeing me that often anyway.
Too far, too much traffic and wastes too much gas...

I spent thousands on her and her needs for 38 years.
Its time to take care of me.
My electric bill went up with her here.
If I stop paying for her car insurance and storage that's $108 a month alone that I can use.
Of course, she'll call me an asshole or worse for doing it...

I have mixed feelings about Kathy but am so glad she is out of here, you have no idea.
She is mad at me but what else is new ?
She gets that way at the drop of a pin or if I say or ask something the wrong way.
I am not going back to the abuse and her slovenliness...

I started to stutter a lot with her here and kept forgetting what day it is as well.
That's stopped as the stress producer is gone.
I still love her but our relationship is toxic and we cannot live with each other and Kathy, while she can be sweet and nice, is unreasonable far too often.
I am still physically worn out over all this and have to force myself to take breaks from now on...

Kathy still needs me to pay her car insurance, storage and two credit cards for now  & I still have her cat so she will come by to see her.
Once she finds a place of her own, Boop will go with her and I will miss her a lot as originally she was my cat but she hisses at my cats and she wants to be the only kitty and so she needs Kathy as Kathy needs her.
I do love her very much but miss my Fuzzy, Fluffy, Little Girl and Pinky coming in here.
Pinky needs to be neutered and she will be helping me with that.
And there may still be Kathy's Korner from time to time.
One funny thing. I sprayed the hell out of the kitchen, put boric acid down and have made sure I keep the sink clean and free of dishes and empty the garbage as I create it.
Since Kathy left I haven't seen a single roach except for ones that died after they crossed the path of bug spray.
Maybe Kathy's like the Pied Piper and they followed her back to Ratty Patty's.

I just had a brainstorm.  Falkie's apartment should be sent in to one of those makeover shows on HG.  They could come in and decorate on a dime and Kathy could have help from one of the apartment rental shows.  Or, if that does not work there are always the hoarder shows.

You only need to bring a few basic materials to the party:

1. A sense of humour

2. To be smarter than a five year-old

3. Not be a tiresome, moralising dick.

My traffic fines are $600. And my state senator has said they will get the idiotic " I had a stroke when I didn't " suspension of my license removed so I can get my license back without paying or a test. I never had a stroke and have the doctor's paperwork to prove it.

I'm not tugging your leash this time, Falkie.  Seriously.  About this alleged stroke.  Where did the DMV get the idea that you suffered a stroke?  Did the police believe you had suffered a stroke after pulling you over for some traffic violation and then reported you to the DMV? Bureaucrats do not have the knowledge or authority to make a medical diagnosis.  If you truly have real paperwork from medical doctors saying you did not have a stroke that should be enough to rectify this situation.  There are two types of strokes, ischemic (caused by a blood clot) and hemorrhagic (bleeding in the brain).  Both can be determined by an MRI.  Did you have an MRI?

It's good that you're talking to your state senator about this.  You may also want to check in with legal aid and see if you can get an attorney to help you pro bono.  If the documentation exists, as you say it does, you should be able to set this straight.

A friend of mine was pulled over for a minor traffic violation.  The officer had him get out of the car and looked closely at my friends eyes.  Noticing the whites were a bit yellow, the officer accused him of being on drugs.  My friend, an MD halfway through his residency in internal medicine, explained he had a chronic condition called Gilbert's Syndrome (pronounced zheel-BARE after the French physician who discovered it), a common, harmless liver condition in which the liver doesn't properly process bilirubin, sometimes causing a person to appear slightly jaundiced, including a yellowing of the sclera (white portion of the eye).  The officer backed down, gave my friend a warning and sent him on his way.

There are positive aspects to Kathy & there are negative ones as well.
But the negatives far outweigh the positives.
I could not let her not have a place to stay when the Ratty One threw her out.
But ... she would not abide by my rules or behave as a civilized person most  of the time.
I'm NOT going to listen to people TELLING me publicly what to do.
I have enough nagging in my life from both my Mother and Kathy to last me several lifetimes.
Once the financial aspects are resolved, we're probably not going to get back together and Ratty will probably do her best to poison the waters as neither of us like each other and she is a bad influence on Kathy.
But Kathy does things her way and once she decides on a course of action, nothing can sway her.
I've not heard from her for several days and if she decides to be uncommunicative, then I will stop paying her car insurance and throw her stuff out.
I do need to get my house key back from her before I do any of that as I would not trust Patty to not come in here and rip off my tv and computer. I would prosecute her and I know something about Patty that would have in jail if I told the authorities.
Kathy and I are never likely to be a couple again. She's mad at me and will stay mad as she feels I hurt her by telling her to leave but probably won't see my side of it.
Of course, if I cancel the car insurance or change it to make her pay $78 a month, she'll probably be here like a shot once she gets the word.
I am sleeping somewhat normally and my cat is now sleeping with me again as he's always been afraid of Kathy.
Time to get up and do stuff.
I will miss her but ce la vie.

Piece of advice falkie, since you don't exercise, cut the carbs. I don't usually suggest diets; your lifestyle and choice of foods are going to keep you overweight. I am surprised you aren't a type II diabetic. Maybe you are, but you share everything else, so I can't say for sure. However, with your weight, age, and diet you are most certainly a high risk.
