If I were ABLE to work, there are those on here that would complain that I didn't have a " real " job, like I used to get on the other board.

excuses, excuses.

Your solution to the Falkie Debacle is to sell the Prius and interview Art Bell?  What planet are you from?  That's ludicrous - even from a Falkie enabler such as yourself.

So everyone who gets 90 days notice to move out of their Section 8 apartment should sell their car?   How about using that 90 days notice to find another Section 8 apartment, rent a U-Haul and move their furniture - or box fans or whatever?

No wonder your wife has to support you.
They need cash flow, Einstein.
The car has immediate value.
You're an idiot if you think they have the spare change to move their shit.
Moving isn't cheap at all, even across town.

We moved my brothers family (three bedrooms, full garage) across town with a pickup. Cost was a tank a gas and a case of beer. Pretty cheap. Though that would require Falkie having friends... Imagine people try to avoid him, scared he will start asking for money.
UHauls are fairly cheap too. You could probably fit a couple hundred box fans in even the smallest uhaul.

A couple of points: Why do you have to tell anyone what job you have? What does it matter what they think to your job? And no; Almost all here would say good for you for getting a job.

Soon Falkie will be out there pimping poor Kathy, and when people mention his pimp limp he will just tell them his knee is hurting... and ask for more money to fix it. Then he will spend it all of Starbucks.

You're being ridiculous. I have coffee at home to drink. I have bought 2 cups of coffee at a coffee place in the last month and a half and one of those was so strong it would have awakened Dracula.
Usually at Starbucks I sit and drink ice water either one I get from them or one from my chilled carryall and go sit outside if its nice like I did in the last video.
Unlike many, even if I have the money, I don't have to buy $ 2.25 coffee. I DO drink it at home before I leave and do have travel mugs for coffee as well.
As for my knee, the surgeon will repair it. Kathy will help me convalesce and go to physical therapy but first I have to get my ankle fixed.

3OctaveFart

Falkie, I believe you have to self-identify what you have of value under the circumstances.
This is a thread where living in a storage facility was at least semi-seriously proposed, for heaven's sake, so I think selling a clear asset is not so unreasonable.
When I went broke I sold many of my sports collectibles. It was quickly decided upon- I needed money.

Been there, done that. Also, a multi-thousand dollar comic collection. No one is faulting falkie for being broke. it indeed is a bitch. its how he chooses to fix the problem.

They need the car.  What would they do without it?  Public transportation?
Yes, moving can be cheap and easy.  I've done it.  A UHaul, a few friends, an afternoon or two and it's a done deal.
One does not get out of debt by incurring more debt, especially at high interest from loan sharks.  Einstein.

189th trimester isn't too far along, is it?

What would be the medical term for such an abortion?  Defalkinization?  Perhaps time travel would be involved.  We would have to go back in time, to 1950's Pittsburgh, and prevent Falkie's parents from meeting.

For you and me, yes.  For Falkie and Kathy.... look at them.  They are in no condition to be moving boxes or furniture themselves.  And their friends are dead or more decrepit than they are.  I am in no position to fly or drive to California to help him move, unfortunately.   If there are any bay area bellgabbers willing to step in and help, I'm sure Falkie would appreciate it and even buy you a case of beer - how's that for a tax return!   Sans help, they're going to have to pay for it.   If Falkie needs to get a title loan, that's his business and I fully believe he can afford it if he says he can.

For your information, Kathy ate baloney sandwiches for a year and SAVED $ 150 a month to get the FIRST Prius. I gave her another $ 700. So we will NOT have any problem paying the loan back.
Gee, how many times do I have to REPEAT myself on this issue ?
she ate baloney sandwiches.  What did you eat?

And yet we all know his business. Why do you think that is?

That silly old rooster has a habit of posting insults and then pulling them down.
Like the little shit in childhood who would throw snowballs and then scurry under mommy's skirts for protection.
I have my own means and approach to problem-solving; so does Falkie and so does Doctor Who. And I'm sure Kathie does, as well.
There has been no meeting of the minds here, on this thread.

Yes you do.

Mr. Fart's Patented Easy Peasy Moving Advice:
Have you been give 90 days notice to move out of your apartment?  Forget UHauls and friends.  Here's what you do!  Sell your car and see if you can conduct an interview with Art Bell.

3OctaveFart

This problem is going to require MONEY in order to solve. Fast money. The faster, the better.
How do you acquire cash when you are jobless? One way is selling stuff, little one.
They are indigent. You're not going to scare up those funds running a lemonade stand.

3OctaveFart

But you've got all the answers you asshole, so you supply him them.
I'm out for real.
Happy Easter.

at least he doesnt steal his dead moms credit card...other peoples money is falkies answer.

Anybody planning on being in the Bay Area for the New Living Expo later this month is cordially invited to bunk with Falkie and Kathy at their Martinez, CA residence.  It would probably work out best for all parties as Falkie could collect a modest fee for the accommodations, and then you could split the gas money and bridge toll with him to attend the event.

Please RSVP with Falkie as soon as possible as space will be limited.

We went to the management company. They are going to talk to the landlord but think he will let Kathy forgo paying her rent for the 2 1/2 months left. That and what i give her will  be enough for about $1000 by July so we shouldn't have to take the car loan out. monday we go get the storage space.
And to palm-o-liver, who doesn't READ what I post, I gave Kathy $700 towards the first car, paid 1/2 the monthly car payment, all of the car insurance and ate a lot of chicken soup and spaghetti & instant oatmeal.
Not that its his or anyone else's business.
When we got the second my money helped buy that one too, plus I paid her rent for a month and paid off one of her credit cards.
As Kathy said in the car on the way home :

" If you're NOT helping PAY OUR bills, shut the fuck up about it. "

She's tired of reading how you assholes continually complain and assume that I do NOTHING for her.
So am I.

I'd like to see Kathy set up a BellGab profile so that she could join in the conversation.  If she's reading the posts, she should be able to respond for herself.

Let me be the first to welcome you aboard, Kath! - assuming that you'll come on here too.

Here's another Art Bell / C2C interlude for everyone:

Don't know till I call them tomorrow. Some places will loan you a truck to move. Most of Kathy's stuff will be in boxes. She has a hutch, 2 big kitchen tables, 4 bookcases, one of which she will give to me. The biggest thing is going to be moving her sofa bed. We're going to have to pay someone to do that and come with us to put it into storage.
My sofa bed was brought in her from a truck by the owner of the building 2 doors down and they carried it up, the stairs. I couldn't have done it.
We're going to be filling the car up with boxes and be making periodic trips to storage.
Kathy's gf Patty will be helping too.

She was too tired to take me back to the  to have me ask for new medicine. She will  reply to some of this in videos. She's almost over her illness but it wore her out. I'm not because the medication had no effect. I've been getting sleep but the near continual coughing has worn me out. She had the same symptoms and its worn her out too. My asthma and copd makes it worse.
Usually when she reads the posts by OUR detractors, her main comment is :

" G*D, I wish these assholes would shut up. "

And comments in that similar vein.
She and I both feel that unless YOU are in our position you have NO idea what its like to struggle on a limited income.
But I told her, let's go see your landlord and see what they will say.
I'm not just sitting here doing nothing.
Except late at night when I've been coughing all night like I did until 5 AM.
