This is either art, or some type of extraterrestial hardware. Interstate 10 between Indio and Blythe, California.
Part of drill bit for a really big drill? Aren't they tunneling under Seattle now or something?

I guess I'll share a few pictures of the first snow storm I watched pass me by this year, along Lake Ontario, in Niagara Falls NY. They're in the Bella-Haven thread, but I didn't know about this important thread at the time I posted them.

At an executive retreat in Mexico, near Cancun.  Been here five days - no one has been raped yet.

Don't know why the image is rotated...

Unfortunately, it has been all work - meetings from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.  CEO has chartered a yacht for Saturday, though.

Proof of ancient aliens! Look at that "great house," the scaffolding and shelter. No way people built that!

It looks amazing.  My fingers are crossed, but things have taken a bit of a turn.  It has been all business until - Tequila taste test.

There are ten of us here.  Wine with dinner, beer after dinner, and then all of a sudden - BLAM - four bottles of tequila.

Four bottles of tequila isn't enough, so our VP from Brazil opened a bottle of Cachaca.  Boat ride tommorwo mronig is going to be grim...

For the love of god.  Send help.

Looks like you have 'decent to-kill-ya' types but stay away from aguardente/Cachaça. Evil stuff and a bitching hangover (at least for me.) Best of luck!

Incoming!

Only 7 of us still standing.  Karoake rumours starting...

My friend here in Florida is challenging the facts about the wages stated on this sign from the Castille de San Marcos.

5 bottles emptied in less than 2 hours by 10 people, plus beers and wine.  Gonna be interesting on the open seas tommorow.

Heading back to my casita.  Goodnight bellgabbers.

Nighty-night. Hope fair seas tomorrow. Hint: dramamine overrated. At your point now it would be better for hair of the dog!

My mom a big fan of that. I never bought into it. Does it work? Two quick stories:
1) relative who is a cardio-pediatric surgeon went with some friends to take a sail boat a fellow doc bought to take home from Bermuda to Virginia. Bad seas, he was sick as hell. Dramamine patch? He put the wrong side on him (not the medicine but the tear off part!)
2) at a party at a friends place in Port A (near you) years ago who had boats etc and partied all night etc and went to go fishing for Red Snapper early in the am. He said "I'm feeling sick" and looked bad but I demanded that he go (pussy, it is your place, you have boats, etc) so he went. 8 hours he was on deck puking or shivering while we caught epic fish. Though I felt bad looking back at him. No where to go at this point. But, still, I felt bad. We laugh now. But I suspect some of his laughs are not really....
