Hey I'm just pitching ideas hoping that Art and his people or some talented BellGabbers would run with it. I'd hope the organizers would turn a nice profit from the event. Non of this means a thing if Art doesn't get behind it.

If you had the time and the funds would you have any interest in attending an Art Bell Roast?
Special Guests retelling entertaining stories of Art's many broadcasting great gigs.

MV or someone could be the Master of Ceremonies. Falkie doing YouTube uploads.

I'd make it a fun few days in Vegas, rent a huge suite and party like its 1995, drinks on me!

As one who worked on trying to set up a convention once and who has worked on cons I have a few things to say.

You charge a membership fee. That helps you pay the hotel for the use of their rooms. Then you charge a fee for the huckster room and art room. I'm sure that there are a lot of UFO & paranormal vendors that would love to sell their stuff as well as a lot of fans who would want to show their Art Bell or Noory or other hosts or related artwork.

Generally guests get their rooms comped in exchange for their appearance at seminars.
If its someone you really want, you pay their airfare as well.
But some AB guests would probably show up to sell their books or just show up because it would be fun.
You would need someone or some group acting as security for the event and people to do registration.
Just a few examples.
Maybe Bigelow could be talked into giving the organizers a grant and all profits go into a fund thats geared to producing the next con with some kind of way to keep someone from dipping into the funds for their own use.
We should also have a couple of clowns show up just for Noory, as well.
And I'm certian someone or someones would show up dressed as either pizza rolls, pizza or pizza roll boxes.
You'd also need someone local to interact with the hotel/casino, though you could hold it in the convention center if it was big enough as has been done for sf oriented events in LA.
Maybe getting some members of the Klingon Defense Force or the Star Wars security folk for security ?

 No worries, I am still here. I am here because for the most part I enjoy the people
on this forum. Even though it gets rough at times there are a lot of very smart, very
funny people here.

I have a hope that given some time it may well be that Sirius/XM will decide to drop
my NC, they may be just hurt/angry. They really have no real fear of competition that
I can see. I am almost sure if I press the matter legally I have a really good case, but
as I mentioned it should be considered long and hard before started. I have been in
legal fights before and it is rough in every way you can imagine, even when you win.

I do believe in freedom of speech, as you all know it is not absolute. For example
there is a part of the Internet that has absolute freedom but most members here
very wisely decided not to go there, right? I think MV maintains just the right amount
of control, very loose but short of anarchy.

Glad you chose to stick around. I may be wrong on this, but it feels like the longer Sirius holds out on dropping the NC, the less chance they will actually do so. I'm dying for some good radio.

I say we all keep the thread going fighting and laughing while building your stream network on the
website and the time will pass before anyone knows it. By then your network will be mature, your
fans will be here waiting, and you won't have to deal with corporate BS ever again.

Meanwhile, Falkie will be painting himself green and putting on a false moustache for his youtube
role as the Grinch that Stole 104 and plans for Pahrumpalooza  roll on where your fans will hold
annual knife fights to settle scores from this message board.

I don't see a downside. Forward we go!

Maybe a really small gathering at first....a few long time members and then build from there.

 The idea is simple, Keith is doing the heavy lifting. Simply provide a place where people who
want to do a Paranormal show can do it for free and it can be heard for free. A way to keep the
Web Site alive and provide a service for both Hosts who want to give it a try and a place where
the listener can encounter new ideas

If and when the time comes that I can go back on air, I will do so there. I hope it grows like crazy,
like most things it is just a idea, we shall see where it goes. Much as I love it, I am not the only game
in town and even if I can not stream there now, it can be a starting place for the next great Broadcaster.
Feel free to give it a shot. We live in a time where just a few companys control everything.
