It feels like theater. It feels like a narrative is being built to make this whole situation seem like a series of unfortunate events.

And the audience numbers shouldn't of mattered that much after less than two months, he could of actively renegotiated his contract while still on air with Sirius.

I agree. I wish he gave it more time. I wish more planning was put into the show and more testing was done so technical issues would have been known about before any deals were signed.

But in the end, it sounds to me that an old quarterback didn't want to go through a rebuilding process. Superbowl or bust. And that wasn't going to happen on ESPN72

I think what a lot of people here fail to realize is that Art has moved on from the more humdrum, ol' late-night paranormal Long John Nebel period of his artistry and is now on the level of Andy Kaufman and Joaquin Phoenix. There is literally nothing he could've done on Sirius that would be as enthralling and entertaining as this recent flare up. We're all stuck in the 90s and it's the 2010s, baby.

If this is the end of Art's broadcasting career, and all signs point to yes on that, would bellgab be interested in a sort of ultimate hits/career highlight/thanks video?

I had been working on a new dark matter trailer but it if word comes this week that they are holding him to his non compete and art decides to honor that non compete than I will make a five to ten minute video honoring Art's fantastic career.

If anything it will help me and hopefully others have closure and thank Art for everything.

It's starting to sound like Art is trying to get the anger of him abruptly quitting on us again off of him and trying set up others as the bad guys.   Seems Art wanted  out and NOW is trying to nullify the anger against him for quitting on everybody once again.

I think Art's being above board with us. The business plan he presents as an independent broadcaster and his hopes to increase his better audio callers all makes sense. Exclusive for free to Sirius seems quite attractive. I would imagine a podcast sponsorship would be far cheaper for C. Crane, thus lowering the sales threshold needed to keep sponsoring. It all makes logical sense and probably would fly so long as plenty of people are made aware of the show's free stream. I'm sure Art has a plan for that too.

I also doubt it would be the right time for Art to say "Damn right I'm suing my way out of the non-compete!" with the question still open with SXM. No need to piss them off right now.

Calm down, calm down. Nothing can be known until the yes or the no comes definitively.
