Can't fool you.
I thought it would be nice to honor one of Art's guests and I always liked Lear.
Now if I can find an 8-track noise ...

:D

What's odd to me about my brief stint here so far is I realize I know more about the art bell show and all its intrigues and such than I had realized before --- with some huge blind spots, albeit. And now I'm thinking, how much god damn time have I spent listening to bell to pick all this stuff up? And what other constructive thing could I have been doing instead?

Hilarious! It fits perfect!

Now that you mention it Stalin does look a bit like Noory.  No wonder the Soviet Union fell apart.

Even Noory has remarked on his resemblance to another wild and crazy guy and lover of free speech, just like Jorch.

Of course, Jorch really believes he's got that "Magnum P.I. thing" going on.  He's told us that, too.  Sure, Jorch, sure.

I acheived time travel of a sort last night.
I was looking up my name on the 'net and found a site that had 2 pictures of me when I was 20. I was young, thin, naive and happy and smiling without a care in the world.
2 months later my Dad died and my life changed forever in so many ways.
It was July 1972.
eek !

"LOL" as the kids say.

Without context, it's even better.

How did you know it was a Lear jet noise ? I had to go through about 400 mp3's to find it.

I agree, Facebook is crummy.  I'm not on it but most of the rest of the world is.  And Art HAD a fb page, so he must have bought into it as a way to connect with a lot of fans.  So, if there were maybe thousands on that "friends of Art", or whatever, page, then yeah, I think it would be in Art's interest to throw them a little cup of cheer, to keep morale up and to keep them in his corner.

God knows he strokes us pretty well here!

Yeah but I brought up the point on the FB page that as big as FB is, it's a closed community. You need to be member to read anything. I think one of the reasons Art posts here is this is a website that is open and can be viewed by anyone. It's an easier way to reach his fans with news on what he's up to.

I think this site is bigger than we realize. I'm willing to bet this site gets way more hits than the FB group. But you're right, maybe it wouldn't hurt if Art posted a little something there every now and again.

Art never does anything wrong, he has no regrets.

No regrets.  All in, baby.  Well, maybe a tad more dynamite next time.

I just canceled my service with SiriusXM Radio. No ART BELL. NO DARK MATTER. No need for this radio.  I have been an "Art Bell" fan, most of my life and nothing will ever change that.

ZomZom

From Art's FaceBook Page:
Let's play some KNYE until we hear if SiriusXm will release Art from his contract.

Here's the page with the stream links in case anyone's not bookmarked it:

Even intermittent static would be more intellectually engaging than Noory.

This is fricken nuts....

Art you are an artist. The mind of the listener is your canvass. Tonal inflection, perceptive question and quick wit- your brush....

Think about history Art. The Mystic Monk, the Revolutionary and the Artist have all provoked Power. The truth is they are too creative for the Established Order, and therefore seek to transform that Order into something more self sustaining for themselves. And the rest of humanity.
Think of Dali or Magritte or Michelangelo. That creativity did not come from the conformity of following established rules. Those guys lived to break them.

Art, I hate to break it to you, Buddy.
But I dont think you get along with the Suits. You are simply too creative.

Which is to say, every turn key solution you propose and consider now, comes with a creative leash.
And over time, that leash gets smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller-- until a breaking point.
Some, with IQs of 500, say you should have seen it all along. But for some reason I cant find their posts a few months back predicting our current circumstance.

Art I remember, with such fond memories, maybe 1997, a hoky crude website with links to marvels and humor and the human circus.
Maybe you should retreat back to that space. Of simplicity that entertains. Something totally you. Not Art/Premrat. Not Art/SiriusXM. But Art Bell.

Maybe you should retreat back to a canvass that is totally you and financially independent, self sustaining, financially self reliant.
This entire board, all the population east of the Rockies, the UK and Oz / Kiwi, even South Africa to Asia, from Aloha to Alaska-- would enjoy compensating you a reasonable fee for the world of wonder you would open every night. And you and I both know-- know-- a quality product with an appropriate price point dismisses the nuisance of piracy. Itunes proved it. And keep your legacy programs as distributed MP3.

Further,  that base has fascinating advertising potential. From The Med and surf boards in California to Fish and Chips and neighborhood pub  in Britain to Vegemite in Australia, I would laugh.....The resort in Nicaragua....

In turn those independently produced shows could be licensed to AM radio and even Sirius...

Your canvass. Your art. Your way. Art Bell.

Meet you out there Art...
At the Edge of Experience...
Raging in the Night...

A brief note to all.. Art's Facebook is back up.
Maybe he can start the dialogue with Sirius again through there --I am only being half sarcastic. Remember, that is where they approached him to begin with, so maybe it's not that unheard of that they'd continue..

I would buy Vegemite if Art sold it. I buy it anyway but if Art sold it I'd buy 2 jars. ;)

KNYE has had a stream online for years. Art bell's voice has been giving the on the hour time and temp updates for years, too. That's a recording.

I think it's cool that ANYTHING is on the stream right now.

Cool thanks for the info.  I agree.  As long as there's activity on Art's site, I'm hopeful.

The terrestrial radio landscape across the country is awful right now.  Stations are struggling and ratings are at all-time lows, even in the major markets.  Why not just syndicate it out of KNYE?  Art should make KNYE the flagship of DM.  He has already ‘identified’ a streaming method so he has that problem solved right?

Yeah it would have to be built up from the ground again, but Art has done that in the past.

Me too...I cant wait till he gets his way, which I think he will in time and does a killer show. His legacy is at stake now so he will do whatever it takes. He is too strong willed to go out like this no matter what happened. Come on Art...there is many of us who still believe in you. Even the shit talkers....they will get over it very quickly once your back and on the Paranormal throne again a year from now. If not..im sorry and will miss you terribly. In my boreing life you actually gave me something to look forward to every night. How about a 7-8 till 10-11 time slot eastern time. That would be prime time out west too. So those of us who work day shift can participate. If you want more callers you need to do your show in a timeslot most people are home and able to call in and listen live. I know I will....luv ya man!!!!

Anyone who thinks Alex Jones is great is one card shy of a full deck, imho.  AJ is a paranoid nut-job.

I think he's whipped himself into a frenzy and believes the stuff he spouts.  It's easy to twist facts and info to fit your worldview.  I've read a few Kennedy assassination theories that make you go "hmmmm...could be" because they each believe their version, then go looking for "evidence" to support their belief.  I think that's what Alex Jones has done -- as well as the people (I'm looking at  you, John B Wells) who subscribe to his message.

I think he lost it quite a while ago.

I will give him this, though, I'd never heard about the Bilderberg coffee klatches before I heard him screaming about them.
