My first post here... Hi everyone.  I am thinking that the NC clause shouldn't hold up.  Certainly not for 2 years.  First of all, the contract seems to be invalid because the darn streaming did not work.  For me, it never worked, and some nights I was unable to listen to the show at all.
He signed up for the Sirius that worked, right?  Well, it didn't, and he's got thousands of people who could testify to that.
They couldn't fix it... so he left.  Had it worked as per the contract, then, this would not be an issue.

I think he has plenty of legs to stand on, and I think he is being reasonable.  The key word being "reasonable"

Hi Shastalexy. That's an awesome name, by the way.

Way down in the thread somewhere I asked art if he thought Sirius was in breach of contract in terms of not doing well with the stream. He said no. I'm sorry if that's bad news but its a fact. You can click on art's profile and see his messages where he said this.

They could get a court order to block his streaming in the states.

Pretty simple to do.

not if he uses a stream host that doesn't give a crap about american court orders.

No, we won't hear a show today. I keep thinking he might pop in and talk for a bit, but that doesn't seem to be Art's style. He'll probably keep quiet until something concrete happens.

An odd thougt, I know, but none of this would have happened if people just bought Sirius radios and listened to that rather than dicking with the livestream.

It's probably been said but it just occurred to me. I'm wishing I had called in to art one night. I should've called out that Roger Leir scalpal huckster. Oh well.

Kinda sad with this just hanging out there:

11/07 - Thu - Waiting on SiriusXM

Fixed. Even Opie & Anthony said he should've given it more time, and they've had a VERY contentious relationship with the company for going on 10 years now.

I think Art has got his answer - any presence of his name and show is being erased  or soon to be erased from SiriusXM.

Yeah, the Philippine situation makes it 100% understandable that he wouldn't waste his time here. I wish the fucking hurricane would do something constructive like sip up the North Pacific Gyre and hurl it into space. Let the Billy Meier's play-boy bunnies deal with it.

The world sucks.

Where did all these haters come from? I feel like we've been invaded. To badly quote Falkie from about 50 pages back, we usually use this place to gently poke fun of George and cheer for Art, not throw bricks at each other.

I'm almost of the mindset that anyone who hasn't been a member for longer than a month needs to get the boot until everyone calms the hell down.

Sheesh.

THE ANGER ALL UP IN HERE!

One of my fondest memories is listening to his show with Zeph Daniels. Zeph was a Satanic Abuse survivor and there sharing his unusual life experiences as well as detailing the nature of alien and demonic interactions. Somewhere near towards the middle of the show --- if I recall right --- Zeph Daniels revealed he'd been hospitalized in a psychiatric facility. Art soldiered on, while asking a few very apt questions. Zeph soldiers on too.

God bless you art. It was a blessing to ever have heard you once, much less for thousands of hours. Time's majestic sea roars on, and though we may never hear from you again your words continue to echo in us. And perhaps that is enough.

For me, Mr. Bell opened up my mind to things that I would not have otherwise even known about or considered. And in a lot of ways that help to determine my own way of thinking in my adulthood. I was in highschool when I first discovered Mr. Bell. I had a small pink boombox and the only station I could get was the one that had Mr. Bell's voice and I just got sucked in. At that age, I didn't want to be out beyond my curfew, because I didn't want to miss Mr. Bell's show. So, actually thanks to Mr. Bell, he saved me from getting into trouble!
Now, if I could do a John Titor and go back in time to re-listen to the classic broadcasts live, that would be awesome, but alas, I can only dream!

Yeah, Seraphim.  200 pages, holy crap.  Not like I am varsity around here, but damn.

And while we all are waiting this is what I will be having for lunch today:

Marinated chicken breast on a bed of quinoa, spinach, cherry tomatoes and onion topped with grilled lemon!

Not the manliest of meals but this is what you gotta eat when you're on a diet.

This makes my Stouffer's Mac and Cheese look like hell.  :'(

I keep meaning to post more pics of my TV dinners on my Instagram.

Many of us did before Sep. 16th, which is why I wish I had emailed him about how clear his voice sounded, how he hadn't missed a beat since we last heard from him and how it was a pleasure to see him energized and ready to take it to Premiere. Unfortunately he chose to serve the small portion of people using a FREE TRIAL over loyal fans who bought radios (car/home kit) and subscriptions to hear him. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it couldn't have been easy to have Wormhole messages from angry fans about the internet stream night after night, but he didn't have to leave Dark Matter to try to get his way about the website stream. It's a satellite radio company and for those with radios, we heard you crystal clear four nights a week.

Weren't those old Titor shows interesting?

I mean nothing came true... but it sure was interesting.

The good old days... I miss them (and my hair).

The on demand shows are going to expire in days, his show listing being removed from the schedule etc.

Yeah, I'd say art bell was one of the most influential figures in my life. I started listening when I was 9 or 10, during 5th or 6th grade (its hazy). At that time my parents had divorced and my dad was living in his van. It was a terribly dark time. I had one friend at school and we shared a love of video games, but as I got more and more into art bell I began to investigate such things as ritual magick, ufology, ancient history, etc. Me and my friend Nick once drank rain-water out of a dog's paw-print to become wear-warlves. Or maybe he chickened out but I know I did. Life got progressively worse after that but I always had art bell until he quit that one time. Then came back. Then, well. . . you know.

It's also interesting to me because I've checked up on kid I used to bully for being a Christian back in sixth grade, and he's now a pastor. My friend Nick pursued video-game music, anime, video-game articles, etc. and, true to form, I've been enthralled with paranormal shit to the present day --- ufo hunting, magick, mind expanding chemicals, out of body experiences, lucid dreaming, remote viewing, divination, yoga, all of it. It's like the three of us, at least, are all still stuck in our 10 year old selves. Its amazing. Damn.

How many of you louts tried to bust clouds with Neil Slade's amygdala-technique? HAHAHA.

I'd give my right nut for a show but alas my balls should be safe.
Nut hacking?  White Tennis shoes?  Cyanide?  Eddie Coyle's avatar?

You guys are scaring me!

Oh, and that one guy who called the Area 51 employee line in a frantic state. This was from 1997. His call didn't last long as he got questionably cut off. Entertaining, thought provoking with a little scary...wonderful!

Completely. Instead of giving away one radio and one year subscription during Spooky Matter, they should have allowed Art to have a give-away once a week. No contest. Just be caller #51  ;D

I agree. Just because a judge demands something (assuming this be the case) doesn't appoint enforcers.
They couldn't hardly do jack shit about it if he does. And likely they would just drop it and try to make amends with Art. It wouldn't make sense otherwise, and nobody would have anything to gain out of a long drawn dispute.
