Even the one that said "I AM YOUR NIGHTMARE. I WATCH YOU SLEEP" that sounded like a guy talking into a plastic cup off camera? Surely not.

Haha

Those poor folks in the P.I., I can`t even imagine. Hell, I rode out a CAT 2 hurricane once...thought I was going to freaking die. And that`s before the peanut butter and beer ran out!

God bless the people of the Philippines.

I've seen prayer not work. I have seen medicine work much more effectively but not 100%. So if you only record the hits and diregard the misses... well that's on you.

That's right, because I live in a world where science and medicine are invalid and I only believe in the intangible.

Because, you know, the idea of the spiritual and material co-existing side by side is absolutely incomprehensible to someone devoted to a show about, you know, the supernatural, paranormal, and "fringe" concepts...

Art's wife must be worried sick for her friends and family back there.

Word.  And that's why us kids'll have to entertain ourselves today - probably no updates.  While I don't have any crystals to rub together, I can hope for the best. :)

Onan is securely within a logical train of thought without detracting at all from the potential benefits of a prayerful life.  If I may, the issue is not prayer itself, but the response to the prayer.  In and of itself prayer is useless, as we have no supernatural means to alter our reality.  However, if one posits a "belief" in a God, supreme intelligence, whatever, who can respond to a prayer, then that belief can transcend our collective psychology and manifest itself as a perceived answer to our prayer.  The distinction here is that the response to prayer is not a matter of "faith" but of individual "belief".

Are there any female paranormal podcasters ?
Seems to be a male only club.

Oh, a separate thing. Is there a way to print out a particular post in here ?

I rode out Katrina here in Baton Rouge, 40 mins from NO. Let's hope it's not on that scale.

Have you ever listened to this show?  Even just their photos turn me off:  they look like the plastic kind of card-carrying Members of the Masses that I have to put up with way too much around here.

So no one is going to explain to me why all the advertising has been pulled down from Art Bell's website?

Okay, then:  *fine.*  I shall surmise:  the advertisers pulled their ads because Art is no longer on Sirus.

That must be bumming out Keith.

I am not sure what you are saying here. Because I enjoy paranormal subjects, I can't separate science from mysticism? Let me explain some of my parameters. I hate shows that deal with any kind of alternative medicine as the primary treatment. I hate shows that suggest if one believes just a bit more they will be healed. I hate shows that eschew medicine for quackery.

I am fully engaged in UFO shows, technology, cryptozoology, ancient astronauts. Even though I am fairly certain it is all hokum but those do no specific harm.

I am not telling you what to believe. But if someone comes along and starts talking about intentionality. I am going to jump all over it.

If that offends you... it isn't my goal.

WHERE DOES IT SAY IN THE CON-TI-TOO-SHUN THAT JORSH NOORY SUCKS!?

Serious questions raised here.

Sirius questions raised earlier.

And to think that thousands have been wasting millions on all that survivalist food storage crap when YOU'VE had the survival secret all along !

Peanut butter and beer.
Amazing.
Just not the creamy stuff, please. It sticks to the roof of your mouth and makes drowning easier as the storm surge sweeps you away to your death.
You'll have to tell us about that experience some time.
At least with earthquakes, it stops after awhile and you rebuild. But tornadoes and hurricanes/typhoons scare the hell out of me. No where to run unless you get out early and you can't put your house on wheels and tow it away from the danger which is a pity.

Hey Paul,

Love that you're here. But... are you being paid to read this junk or do you just have issues cuz, well, the birds of a feather thing. Just wondering.

Paid?
Oh no...  Sirius "terminated" me  a few days ago...
Then failed to mention it to me..
They had to end it with me either way as part of the agreement
Art submitted included me not being paid by them.

I'm here because i want to be here. and Yeah,... issues..  8)

Hey QR code person,
No news from the East....  so far...
Trust me,  once Art knows, he will let everyone know.

That sucks, Paul. I hope if things work out that SOMEONE is paying you.

As for the ads on the website--

I think they were google ads, so if they are gone I think Keith may have removed them. I don't know why advertisers would pull out from the website yet, since things aren't resolved and the site is still getting traffic/being updated.

These things I believe:

People cause religion, gods don't.

Thank God for science, medicine, and evolution.

Well, there is a certain document that said in its entirety that ANOTHER George ( NOT ME IN MARTINEZ ) also sucked.
And there is this clause in it that could very well be applied to the $nooremaster as well.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Or free listeners either.
Could $noorge be the reincarnation of King George III ?

It doesn't offend me. It just puzzles me that your parameters seem so rigid that it seems like you're (a) painting me as a faith healer/bunko artist/witch doctor/whatever and (b) discount the possibility that such things are possible.

Almost exactly two years ago, on November 11, 2011, my mother was rushed to the hospital and had to have emergency surgery. The doctors told us there was almost NO chance she would even survive the surgery, much less recover to any significant degree. My family and I and our friends understood this. We understood that science and medicine were going to do all they could to save her life, but that we should not hope.

We hoped anyway. And we prayed. All of us. A lot. Friends. Family. Strangers.

And she came through the surgery. And we had six additional weeks with her, to spend time with her, say our goodbyes, make our peace before it finally WAS her time.

Do I give the doctors credit for doing all they did? Of course. Do I think we would have even had those six extra weeks without them? No, I don't.

But I also definitively believe that what you dismiss as "intention" played its part as well.

This is not the only example I could give. But it's the only one that really matters. And frankly, I don't care whether you believe it or not. I know what I've seen, felt and experienced. I don't refute science, up to and including evolution.  Science is wonderful. But science is narrow, and science is limited, and science is only part of the totality of existence. It only tells us "how". Not "why" or even "what". It is meaningless without the human and, yes, spiritual components that MAKE us who and what we are and contribute to this vast, eternal, physical-spiritual thing we call our existence. And for me at least, I have absolutely no conflict between accepting the veracity of science while also believing that there's something more, up to and including a higher power. Science and spirituality are not mutually exclusive. They are essential components of a whole. It is we humans who insist on considering them as separate entities.

And respectfully, I have nothing more to say to you on this matter. Amen.

I see NO ads anymore on Artbell.com, and previously there were several-plus, and from a variety of companies (they were not all just Google ads, IIRC).  I think the advertisers must be assuming Art is done on Sirius, and pulling their advertising.  If so, that sucks, and let's hope they're jumping the gun.  (Yes, I still have some hope, but it's waning).

I'm totally seeing ads, people. Not sure what everyone's on about. Also, I believe Keith mentioned on FB that Sirius has no say over the site.
