          I think Noory can look in a mirror and say "you know, I could be replaced" and that motivates him to at least show up. He may not perform to anybody's level of satisfaction, but at least he keeps the line moving.

         I don't think Art has Noory's level of introspection in this area. Egads!

I just imagined something that cracked me up.  Paul Bowman (Producer Paul) is a pilot, who no doubt flies in and out of Las Vegas often.  Imagine this streaming test is coming from the cockpit of Paul's plane as he's flying over the city of LV.   Art doesn't have his own satellite to broadcast to, so Paul will just fly around overhead and beam a stream somehow.  No, I'm not sirius.

Art knows there are some ham frequencies that are truly off the rails.  We may listen but we never participate.  Fortunately, there are very few of them and we know to avoid them.  (Like your comment about the numbers station, though :-)

I remember you saying you have an iphone. Download the Shoutcast app and manually enter http://live.artbell.com:8303/stream. It'll buffer for about 10 - 15 seconds and then play.
