I left a pretty good job to do this program with Art.

And for that reason I won't complain about the 100 bucks I'm out of on a radio. I would have jumped for the chance too if offered. You'll land fine I'm sure, if in fact this is the end of the Bell ride...

Me, too.  No audio.

I demand MV fix this within 24 hours, or I will quit Bellgab.  Technical issues are unacceptable!

ZING!  ;D

Hey UFOShip,

Your stream stuttered for a second, I think you guys should hang it up.

EarthAlien007

So when someone buys SiriusXM streaming, are they told it's broken or working poorly most the time?
I'd love to see a class action lawsuit here. A lot of folks, not just Art fans are being misled and ripped off.

It isn't broken, nor does it work poorly most of the time. That is the entire misunderstanding here and as a Sirius subscriber going back almost to the beginning of their company, it is better than it has been at any time, and much better than most streaming sites....not to mention it being better than it has been portrayed by Art and some listeners.

Class action huh?  ::) Give me a break. The only people that helps are lawyers and besides, Sirius didn't do anything remotely wrong here. This is all on Mr. Bell and you guys need to start realizing that.

:D ;D lol

Thank you, Dortmunder.  So, you need shoutcast to listen to the podcast on a tablet.  O.k.

I hate this!

I miss turning a dial on the a.m. radio and ((magic!!)) there was Art.

Well at least most of you folks snapped out of your cult like devotion to Art.  This place was pretty scary for a while.

Art's new show was half assed anyway, same guests same topics as 15 years ago only replace a radio pro with great questions with a bitter old curmudgeon who's time has clearly passed him by.

How many shows were cancelled during the six weeks Art was back?  I know of two, was there more?  Didn't the mysterious "back pain" come back?    8)

Wasn't one of the reasons Art came back was because he was accused of being a serial retiree?  Way to show 'em Art!  :)

Yeah. I'm realizing I liked listening to art mainly because of my old memories of him. But he routinely put on obviously fake guests --- even championed them and portrayed them as legit --- and that should tell us all something about his motivations. But just what, I don't know. If he doesn't care about the money --- and I think he doesn't --- why does he even do it? I think its also obvious this whole "they won't stream for me, bwaaa,  :'( " is nonsense,  so whatever his motivations are something must have easily demotivated him.  But what?

Heck yeah!  That'll show'em.  ;)  Plus, I'm going to throw a temper tantrum and not eat my spinach!

I'm gonna relisten to what that Coz guy just said, but I understood crappy streaming is to be expected.
Just wondering if customers are informed before they pay.

As pointed out, it works the majority of the time. I've personally never had an issue. The 1001 error seems to be a connection issue. Could be user-end. This is absurd.

Thanks, Spinner, but it just takes me to the chatroom.  I don't wanna chat, I want to listen to a broadcast! (or podcast)
There's a "play" button right under the chatroom login.
Except now it appears to be full. MV was saying that only 50 people can listen.

All that being said,  I'm here, not to be insulted or to listen to Art be bashed, but
to answer any questions as best I can.

At your service,

-Paul
Hey, Paul.  Remember the old 3840 jammers?  Yeah. Those.  Appreciate your offer to answer questions, but the SNR is off the chain here.

...so, MV underestimated his popularity and Art overestimated his??

Pardon, I'm still angry.

something must have easily demotivated him.  But what?

I have a gut feeling he wanted out of the country. Saw the writing on the wall. Economic collapse. Police state. Fukushima radiation? You could hear it in his voice that he was very disturbed during the shut down. Hell if I had the means I would leave as well. Just a w.a.g as they say.

Producer Paul..... I called Sirius.. They seem adamant that the show is OVER. Has a contract been breached here? And even with hopeful banter back and forth between us and Art, is it a lost cause?

A lot of us can use that $200+ dollars back around this time of year and would sure love to know.

Do you know the name of the person you spoke with?
Because if correct,  I better freshen up my resume.
And I agree,  $200 isn't chump change.

Don't worry Paul. Art has been pulling this crap since he was a child. Everything has to be his way or he is going home.

Art's doing this reminds me of ...

I'm impulsive so I can sympathize with the myriad goose chases and split decisions it can fill your life with. But I don't know. I'm laughing out loud considering that here's this famous radio guy in Nevada doing a paranormal/conspiracy show and he decides to quit the show and flee the states because his guests convince him America is doomed to be a radio-active, bankrupt police state in a matter of months. That's funny. And he flees to Manila with his wife to live out the rest of his days being fed grapes, drinking coconut wine and hunting the occasional panda bear with a bamboo blow gun while we all sit to rot in penury, tyranny and unfortunate mutations.

Dude Paul, the lack of communication is just mind blowing. Can't you just call art or go and see him and find out what his mindset is?

Maybe Sirius would agree to one night a week of free streaming, or at least the open-lines nights.

But Not all shows are truly caller-driven. If open lines were all we cared about, we'd be satisfied with C2C.

I know Art set high standards for himself, but IMHO he played it too safe, going with Kaku and Hoagland. He needed to come out guns blazing, don't look back, move forward, throw it deep on first down and not run it up the middle.

We want our minds blown. New listeners want their minds blown, that's how we all got hooked.

No offense, but it didn't feel like to me that much effort was put into the search for guests. I know this is probably not true, but that's what it feels like.

I honestly don't know why and how that Indian financial guy was even allowed on the air. That was God-awful.
