I try not to be self-righteous. I get the anger. But with my dad in the hospital â€" basically a vegetable that can blink â€" and now my beloved Fred-the-Asshole-Parakeet dead, I just have to direct my anger elsewhere. Like at God. And Obama.

You guys can rage on with the hate. It won't kill me. All I ever wanted was to start a "Gently Poking Fun at George" thread as an alternative for those of us who occasionally cringe but still hold out hope for improvement.

I feel like offering my PR consultant services to George. My first command as his PR handler would be to stay the hell away from here. Second would be to mention the #freeartbell campaign on C2C. (Third would be to change his victory crown AV â€" annnnnd accomplished! He has no idea that I just touched him with my PR genius and didn't even charge him for it.)

If they actually took the time to say: "There will be a statement shortly" or "We have passed your complains along to upper management, who are actively considering the situation," they'd have a lot more respect from me.

They can't say/post anything that they're not told to.  They're just poor shmos like us trying to earn a living.  But I want to slap them both.

I still have to call Sirius and cancel my subscription. They're not going to get anywhere anyway because my credit card is currently maxxed out. But that aside, I dread talking to customer service people. The upsell attempts make me cringe.

They're not very pushy. A little stupid (I had to get transferred twice before I was on with the right person) but it's no big deal. They didn't even try to sell me on staying. That said "phone cancellation only" is super annoying and they should know it's hated by younger generations who aren't gullible enough to believe that you "can't" do online cancellation. I'd never recommend Sirius to anyone else for more reasons than just messing with Art Bell. Just about everything about them is crappy. Of course the funny part is I would have paid anyway and used them exclusively for Dark Matter.

Thanks. He was an asshole, but I loved him. My dad taught him to say every foul word known to man. Fred was 16. He had a good long life as a parakeet. He even beat the crap out of my cat once when I was a kid. It was an awesome sight to behold.

I hope he's up in bird heaven now, finally getting to use his wings as he spews out little bird obscenities and poops on the heads of angelic cats.

Sorry to hear about your Dad and Fred.  I think that you would be great in PR!  (George strikes me as a hopeless case, though)
