It is hard to keep up with this thread, a lot of information and a lot of crap.

I have seen many posts about Art challenging his non-compete. My thought is while he may have some legal measures for relief, he doesn't seem interested in tackling it. It would probably be a long, expensive drawn-out process that I don't believe he really wants to endure. I mean if he didn't want to host DM long enough from some sort of agreeable solution, why would he "hoist the black flag" and go to war with SXM for the ability to host a meager podcast? I don't believe he would.

I am an Art Bell fan, probably always will be, but I am still butthurt. I feel screwed, cheated and I cannot seem to get around that. I bet a lot of fans agree. If he comes back in the future, I will listen so long as I don't have to make a financial commitment.

This whole damn thing is surreal, they way it went down and SXM's FU by putting coast on the same channel. I just wish I could stop feeling compelled to check the status of this damn thread. Retarded optimism. Meh.

I thinkArt made it pretty clear on Gabcast that he was fighiting the noncompete with attorneys.

Art cannot do this. Art does not have time to eat them in a court of law. But I wish Art would just start hosting his Godblessed show anyway.

Akin to the populous, I listened to the sound of Art Bell's voice on the radio, in solitary and lightless for innumerable nights. Coast to Coast was my jawn. As a radio host, there is no one like Art Bell. People have said that if Art Bell read a phone book on the radio, he would still impress his listeners. What an affirmation to Art's prowess.

The very idea of Art Bell returning to the radio filled me with sheer ebullience.

I had difficulty with Sirius XM and Dark Matter. The quality of sound was defective and capricious. One show, I had trouble with reverberations. The Spooky Matter Show was sabotage by the frequent number of phone calls being dropped before the end of their ghost story. Despite the harrowing quality of sound, the awful customer service with Sirius XM and the cost of $15.00 a month, I was â€œall inâ€ with Dark Matter.

Alongside Art Bell, I am getting up there in the years. At this time in our life, we both have had "harder times" than a problem with a radio station. I believe that things will work out for Art Bell and his fans.

I've been an Art fan since the 90s and have followed his career closely. As MV talked about last night, I too am not really into the paranormal crap, but enjoy Art's broadcasting skills and wacky subject matter.

Art's issues with SMX streaming problems as a reason to quit still makes no sense, after all that as been written and said.
It's no biggie for me, rather it's entertainment to root out the 'real' reasons as to why he departed. SMX. And this thread exploring these various conspiracy theories is about as good as it can get, when we have the principals posting and talking (George and Art).

MV last night also talked about on the Gab Cast, posters picking apart Art's explanation and being the first poster to offer new ideas as being something negative. That is the heart and soul of this forum, it's what we do, the common thread that binds us together, that's why Art labeled us vicious 'critics' and vaguely lovable.

Really, did I call Art a liar and suggest my morals were of a higher stature? If you took the time to read my response you would have read I stated his argument had merit. Time table, maybe but the time table has a start date of yesterday. And I'm the guy you want to take to task?

I think S/XM may be in trouble since they apparently did nothing to protect their product from piracy. Art said he had Keith send urls of pirates to S/XM and nothing happened. One could easily interpret this to mean they did not value their product. If they didn't act to protect it, I think that could be interpreted as willfully negligent. All of this, in my mind, renders their contract with Art rather meaningless. Isn't anyone on here a real lawyer?

A real Attorney would inform us that they would need to review the contract and other documents before offering an opinion to the client..... But theorize on, it's entertaining.

got a no first time around, now I have asked again and taken steps with Legal help. We shall see
what develops.

As for thinking George is a nice guy, those days are long gone. He should feel the sharp knife of
hypocrisy stab him every night when he "thanks me", I told him what a piece of crap he was after
he put Oates on in language that would make most Sirius/XM Hosts blush, still he does it either
because he has been told to do it or he really woves me, I prefer the former.
