I'll be watching out for that campaign. Do it XM!!! It will only help! First, what's a good petition site? I'm sure that's not a big help, but it's SOMETHING!! Petition!!!

We need find a physical address to flood with letters, it's worked before:

A better campaign would be for Art to do it alone without SXM.   What does he need them for?   They just provided him with a great six week promotional campaign for his streaming website / podcast.  Charge five bucks a month if you must charge and there would be a large worldwide audience.  Do a 3 hr show if you feel like it, some nights a five hour show if you feel like it.  Independent is the way to go.

Well... if the show is done, and Art is finished.... what's the plan for this forum?  Are you going back to "coastgab", or is this forum done?  I sure do not see any point in having a forum where everyone is just chatting away wishing Art would return to radio. If this is it... I'm done. No more. I didn't pay for my one year subscription, listen to every show faithfully just to get burned like this. Very disappointed.

I guess the "George Noory sucks" thread is back to life.

Please relay this sentiment to Art: We are not your personal fucking army. Put on your big boy pants and get back on the air and live up to the commitment you made to us - not to Sirius. We committed to you with our hard earned dollars. If you are not back live tomorrow - you lose me and thousands of others for-fucking-ever.

There are a lot of radio shows that'd chop off their right arms to get XM/Sirius to carry them (go on XM103, local shows getting massive national exposure and loving it).  Just walking away after a few weeks (and not even full weeks) is... well, not smart.

Love Artie, but I've been an Sirius and now XM subscriber for many years, and I love it.  I think he's being very unreasonable.  I'm not unsubscribing.

As far as getting up a campaign?  XM's not in the wrong here, and Artie won't be swayed - and even if it worked, for how long before Artie decided on another demand?   He wants us all to eat green M&Ms while we listen?

Dammit. Is that motherfuck posting again?

For the sake of argument let's say Art does a Web show , how long will that play out untill he gives up on that as well ?

I was listening to his show via the android app and I didn't have any problems

I would have to agree with the others and say quit fucking around and get back on the air or quit fucking around and just say you don't want to do it any more

I believe there was a non-compete clause in his contract, so he'll be off the air for a significant period of time, probably 2 years.

Dammit. We never got a Rods show.

First, I am mighty pissed at Art for quitting yet again.  Second, I am pissed that I wasn't the first to post about it.  Lowers my batting average to .500.  Third, I am pissed that Art doesn't have the stones to post here about his latest announcement.  Noory suffered the slings and arrows of this forum, but Art?  In hiding.  Pathetic.

Yeah, I hate to agree with you. Noory is still a turd, but at least he shows up for work every night. Even if he phones it in like Homer Simpson.

Dammit.  Sirius XM customer service is closed.  Grrrrrrr.

Art, just put the monkey paw down, stop making wishes.

Hitler's on it already. Very funny, btw.
Hard for me to arrive at any conclusion other than that the accusation of Art as drama queen is right. If he has arguments to be had with SXM, he should conduct them in private behind the scenes. It feels to me as though Art is guilty of not undertaking due diligence on what broadcasting his show on SXM would entail. Loyal fans who stood by him and dug deep for subscriptions are left high and dry. It's unprofessional. He should be behind the microphone broadcasting to his listeners like us who parted with good money to listen to him and are left with months worth of useless subscription. Thanks, Art.
That strange whining noise heard around the planet tonight - and doubtless soon to be reported by LMH....on C2C, not DM - will be the gales of laughter emanating from Noory, Tommy and PremRat.

I knew it. Hate to say I told you so, but...

Because he knows if he's gone for too long he'll be replaced. I bet he lives in front of that mic.

Art isn't doing a web show. It's done. Either Sirius/Xm gives him his concessions or it is done.  The show is done, and Art is done.  What is a shame, is that Art is going out this way.  A radio host like Art Bell needs to go out with a bang.  Like telling people that the show is going to end at a certain time, and give his listeners the heads up. Do the XM radio for a couple of years, then tell your fans, that's it, I'm done. I'm going to be retiring at the end of March, or 2014... or whatever... Let the people know.  His leaving this way is going to let his fans know he is just high maintenance.  It reminds me of a two year old not getting his way, and stomping his feet. Sorry Art Bell, I'm just calling it the way that I see it.

Yes, and snugly placed, with motivation.

It'll be interesting to see if XM246 (the channel that carried C2C and Ground Zero) suddenly reappear

According to this, he is... not sure if siriusbuzz is official SiriusXM...
"Bell is a radio icon, and will continue his show on the web.  It is unfortunate that SiriusXM could not match up to his needs."
