Which break was that? And thanks, I actually had an epiphany recently as far as delivery goes, maybe it's too "inside baseball" to describe, but everyone has their own interviewing style and I'm pretty sure I know how I want to approach each show going forward.

Thanks mate. There are a lot of appealing subjects there. I almost squeed when I read the word DeLorean.

Heh, I think any child of the 80s has that visceral reaction to the car. It's such a fascinating story too, no idea why it hasn't been made into a movie yet. At one point there were several screenplays floating around but nothing's materialized beyond that.

As far as recommendations, I'd start with the most recent one and work your way back based on your interests. Hope you enjoy.

AD - take a dive in to any show or subject. You won't be disappointed.

The first break. I think it was Sinoia Caves - Opening?

That's awesome. I recently had something "click" when interviewing IT candidates. The feeling you get from a new method working is quite refreshing.

By the way, have you considered listing the bumper music on www.darkcity.fm? It would cut down on requests and redirect them to your nice-looking site. Unless there are music-industry-related reasons it's not such a good idea...  ::)

I want to hear more about your epiphany re: interviewing style. Anything? Elaborate? And why the mean-guy avatar? I'm still too scared to see American Psycho, but are you honing closer to Bateman's interpersonal approach to digging for answers?

Around the time Steve did that interview I had become interested in the DeLorean story so I was like there really are no coincidences :o He also did a show with Dr. Aubrey de Grey and I had been meaning to read his book, so I was like I'll just listen to this show. That made it easy. Dark Weekend is very intuitive towards my needs! LOL

Nevermind. You're coming on our show and I will ask you myself. Consider this the teaser, with real-life email to follow. 🚀

I may do what Coast does, and list the music but not include it in the podcast. I haven't decided yet - everything I'm using now is safe, but it would be nice to be able to use whatever I want without any restrictions - that means radio stations.

Heh, I think you mean pennies.

New show coming in the next day or so: abduction stories with Bob Mitchell.

Re: music ... You should list the music. Apple iTunes used to pay a referral fee if you drove traffic to their store and someone made a purchase. Maybe some extra income to buy some shiny jewelry to bedazzle your JP Muckelstones

"Hip to Be Square" came on the radio as I was leaving work yesterday, which caused me to break out a sinister smile.

PROTIP: Don't make eye contact with people on the sidewalk whilst toting a sinister smile.

Good way to get people to move on the subway too.

ps: though I see you also are posting as Dark Weekend again, at least on the Soundcloud?

Changed the url just now. Any of the 'weekend' urls posted earlier will not redirect, so when they come up as broken, just replace that part with 'darkcityfm' or just go to https://soundcloud.com/darkcityfm/ from now on.

I would bid big bucks for a 'vajazzled by Bateman' pair of muckletones @ the BellGab celebrity auction.

I have been purchasing used Lasko fans from the local junk yard and putting them on ebay. I put them up for bid as falkie fans. It brings a tidy sum... a tidy sum I tell you.

The song you used for the first break makes me imagine xylophone playing skeletons

Hah, I could see that.

Hmm there was a brief mention that the program will soon be available via other sources.  Could this include iTunes perhaps? :D

What was the bumper music at hour 2:08?  Also, this was such a good interview that it gave me chills and reminded me of listening to Bell as a kid in the middle of the night making sure all the doors were closed hah.

SPOILER ALERT...

Even though it was probably bogus, the bit about all the missing people like Paulides talks about possibly being used as a food source was a wtf moment, then talking about the abductee being taken to the horror factory with humanoid aliens chopping up animals and seeing human body parts...whoaaaa!

Bateman you, Knapp, and Howard Hughes are currently the best in paranormal radio, well done!

Tarbaby

returnIt is obvious to me that in his book, intrusions, Mr. Mitchell has bought into the delusions of other people. He doesn't realize the propensity of human beings to project Zenophobic/alarmist fantasy when experiencing states of subjective reality. Like dreaming or other states of   semi conscious awareness.
I considered the possibility that he is aware of the delusional aspect of the material and was purposely exploiting it to write the book. But other things he said, like his connection to mufon an his readiness to unquestionably accept and believe these paranormal stories no matter how overtly bizarre along with other accounts he mentions prompt me to conclude he is gullible rather than exploitative.

I hate iTunes and that ecosystem, but I wrote a review for yeeeew.

Thankfully it didn't force me to update iTunes to do so...  ::)

I mean, I mean… Mitchell talks about the number of people who go missing every year for which there is no explanation and concludes that they must be being used as a food source for aliens. How ridiculous is this logic? And then he adds, "what else could it be?" What an idiot.
