Sounds like my idea of a perfect day !!  I wish I had learned how to identify the ones that are safe to eat in my younger days....

The danger comes in all the excitement of the hunt! Suddenly you look up, you don't know where you are and it's getting dark  :'(

I'd love to hear Andy Basiago interviewed on Dark City.  Soon.  It would be another Presidential candidate in your cap, Bateman.

Just like he knows for sure he was on Mars with Obama.  And the way he tells it, I nearly believe him.

Just listened to the Open Lines show. I was very happy with it.

Also Trump> Clinton

Has Steve announced his guest for this Sunday?

Hinted at gravitational waves or something guy? Said he wanted to have him on, maybe it's someone else.

Also I changed from a Rubio supporter to Trump about two weeks ago. Honestly, I went to Trumps website and read some of his proposed ideas. His tax platform is I think is very strong. Trump has been trying to build himself into more of an issues canidate. I think a lot of people don't really pay attention to the news until closer to the general election, I believe Trump could still pick up significant support. I also think the establishment is willing to support him, if he wins the nomination. If Bloomberg enter the race, I think he is more of a hindrance to the Democrats.

Rubio looked like he was on speed.

Going nuclear on Trump was the only option he had. He and Cruz made the mistake of dancing around him thus far, trying to take each other out to be the one to take on Trump. The way they played it tonight was the way they needed to be playing it weeks or months ago. Probably too little too late now.

They needed to be going after each other rather than Trump. They can't siphon much off of him, but they do need each other's votes. And they need them like fast.

There is no way any of them believe that they have one chance in a hojillion of suddenly taking the lead away. Come on!

Trump is inevitable. I don't know when that flipped from "likely" to "fait accompli," but it's clearly happened by now.

I disagree. You want him to blow himself up. Being attacked on multiple fronts is something he really hasn't had to deal with until tonight, and it was clear that tactic had some effect on him.

NRO put this out last night:

QuoteNow is the time to throw everything at Trump, and to stop this disaster in its tracks.

Incidentally, when I say “everything,” I really do mean everything. Tomorrow night, as they stand on either side of Trump, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz must find their resolve and all-but-machine-gun the man to the floor. Without breaks for water or silence for applause, they must explain that Trump is an entitled mess whose business record is so questionable that he managed to bankrupt a casino; that he is an unashamed fraud who didn’t even wait to be elected president before folding on Planned Parenthood and Obamacare, exactly like the “feckless” Congress he is running against; that he is feigning religiosity to appeal to people he believes are rubes; and, above all, that whatever he may be pretending now, he has spent a lifetime screwing the little guy. They must repeat verbatim his previous words on amnesty; they must outline in detail how his policies will make life worse for everyone; and they must point out that a Trump nomination designed to “mix things up” will result, eventually, in more of the same.

What they really needed to do was paint him as a con man, and the electorate are his marks. Rubio alluded to that with his "selling watches in Manhattan" remark.

There's a report floating around that Rubio or Cruz offered the other a VP spot if they'll drop out. The offer has a time limit attached to it. I don't see either of them going for it though - they both want to try to win their home states.

Even if that were to happen though, who's to say Cruz's support wouldn't go to Trump instead? And Rubio + Cruz in the polls is still barely enough to beat Trump.

It's illegal to make such an offer. However, I'm sure it's often done.

Latest polls in Texas are close, but I still expect Cruz to win. Rubio won't even win Florida.
