I was just watching Richter playing Handel's op. 4 and the simile was right there, so I grabbed it hahaha
He was just awesome, I'm partial to his Bach. Never gets old and revisited many times.

Ah I am jealous of the time you have spent with him!  I just discovered him.  If he has recorded a lot of Bach, I will reach deep into my wallet for that.

I was lucky enough to grab a box set of Richter 'Sacred Masterpieces'  box set for free from a relative whose ex-husband died and she was going to donate the rest of his stuff to Goodwill etc and I was helping with my pickup and I grabbed a few ones including that. Excellent and beautiful. There are sources online (torrents and even youtubes) and I'm not an audiophile so not sure on compression etc versus albums, CDs, mps, FLAC, etc but there are people out there who have converted the old albums into 'looseless' formats and not having been remastered for much old music. Then I've also heard that if you are listening on your smartphone or computer the issue is, relatively moot. But when you listen in a good system you can tell, especially with this type of music, the difference between formats.

Those must be all the Bach cantatas, then!  What a find!

Thank you to the cohosts, the callers, the chat participants and the listeners.

It's not easy doing what MV and co do. There is a lot going on and a lot of moving parts.

I'm glad most seemed to have enjoyed even if some of the calls and the chat got heated.

We all play for the same team. No .... wait .... that's not right.

Yes.  She makes a great point! ;D

But highly unlikely to be adeared to. Some can't live without being wasted in one way or another. But at least I don't have to live with  them. So that's good.
