I had, and still have, my own ideas about what was happening.  I even had my suspicions about what was going to happen all that time when (Redacted) was going on about her "big secret".

I Like the Fret Files people, but I'm not a guitar person, I'm an old wooden alto recorder flute person, so I'll check back later to see whats on after the fret files are over.

3rd place, Illinois State Fair. 1966. Accordion.

Want to know why I could push a bobsled fast?  Lots of experience running home from school carrying my accordion (which weighed about the same as me) being chased by bullies.

Tried to teach myself guitar, mandolin, applachian dulcimer and fiddle. Probably shouldn't have tried all of them at once. I gave my fiddle and my electric guitar away. Gave my keyboards away too. I still have 3 guitars, 2 mandolins and 2 dulcimers. I will figure them out someday. Maybe I will pick up my mandolin this weekend and start getting my fingers back in shape. Or my guitar. Or the dulcimer. Crap. I will figure something out. Maybe just my tambourine to start.

This accordian looks like the one I used to play. I was a big hit at German and Polish weddings. I was so small that I had a back strap  to hold the straps together. Once I sat down and got strapped in, I was at the mercy of someone else to get me out. If they were all drunk and partying, they wouldn't un strap me. Then I learned how to make really awful noises with the accordion. That usually did the trick.  I don't have it anymore, but I think I still have my grandfather's really old one somewhere. Or I gave it to my little brother.

Well I'm SO happy something good came out of my little post!  I was self taught on the flute.  Was "concert" good, but then, well, life happened, and I just recently picked it back up just for the joy of it, even tho I have forgotten almost everything, and my fingers don't move like they used to.

These old vintage Johannes Adler alto recorder flutes are 25 inches long, made in Germany.  They still play like new!
