Most here "make their own fun" without the need of reaching out to 4chan for support. Regardless, I've really got nothing against her. Just stating the obvious

The impending invasion of 4chan now that the moderators cracked down on them in /x/. Get your biohazard protection suits ready.

If that happens, I hope that MV would take steps to prevent them from monopolizing the forum with their brand of trolling-at-its-worst and thereby ruining what has been a good place for the rest of us to have sincere discourse on the stuff we love and have in common.  My opinion is that if the forum has a huge onslaught of 4channers trying to do their worst, that MV seriously needs to reconsider his current "mostly hands off" moderation method.

I don't think this forum is a good place for the kind of vibe 4channers spew.  If there's an overload of that sort of nonsense here, people that actually have good brains, with something to say of depth, are going to go elsewhere.  MV may end up getting more posts, but they will mostly be nonsensical hogwash as the members looking for good conversation will cease to contribute.

What happened over at /x?

There are policies that govern what you can say or not say on the channels.

In /x/ specifically where the MITD/OSOM were, a lot of people were trying to "dox" Heather and posting information they found that may or may not have been correct.  On top of this, a lot of posts were just people commenting on what was being said here on bellgab.

/x/ is for paranormal topics, of which "doxxing" or gossip about users on other websites isn't allowed.

Well, it's kinda like going to your favorite restaurant to have a good meal. Food is good. You don't mind paying the check and leaving a tip.

The owners even let some homeless people eat for free at the counter. You think that's neat. Real nice owner. The homeless people are grateful for the free food, and they don't smell too bad. Your food is still good and the service is ok. So no problems.

More and more homeless people start showing up and they start sitting at the tables instead of just at the counter. They talk real loud and some of them don't smell so good. Well now your food doesn't taste quite as good, and the service seems to have gone downhill.

So you look for another restaurant or maybe start cooking more. The owner loses a paying customer. Maybe a couple of paying customers. Pretty soon the owner can't afford to feed the homeless people anymore so he has to find a way to keep them from coming in.

But even when the owner cleans out the homeless he still doesn't have those paying customers. It takes time for those loyal paying customers to go back and see if the food is as good as it once was.

It's kinda like that.  Except here, even the smelly homeless people generate some revenue... From Adsense. So enough homeless people might actually become self-sufficient.
